Is it bilateral. ( equally painful both sides. ) Does it alter with movement
It’s moving around as you move. You have some physical damage. Rest. gentle stretching. Hot bath. Cold compress. Your on meds that numb the area. So remember. Just because the pain is dulled. The damage may be increasing. Gentle. Yoga.
I get the most horrendous pain in both my hips and lower back nothing takes away the pain am on pregabalin, duxloxetine, co-codamol and various others, sometimes its so hard to walk because its so painful evening sitting can be painful to, so i totally understand your pain.
Have you tried heat pads on your hips and back, i find that it can help a bit with the pain but i have been told its probably down to osteoporosis, perhaps get it checked out may be an x ray just to make sure.
It could be fibro but in my case I suffer from sciatica, spinal problem and shallow disc. The best option is to do a scan etc. Thinking all is to do with fibro is dangerousTake care
Hello, sorry to hear that the pain is getting you down. That could barely be described as a rant and anyway this is the place to vent when you need to! It is likely that you have neuroinflammation from your brain injury and that may well be the cause (or at least contributory) to your fibro diagnosis. Do you have a good neurologist? I'll add a link to Micki Rose's page on brains - there is a link at the bottom and more information on neuroinflammation, as well as a link to Datis Kharrazian's piece. (His brain book is on my Christmas list!). purehealthclinic.co.uk/2020...
I have pain in my lower back and hips due to Degenerative Disc Disease, unfortunately there are so many different reasons for this type of pain only a doctor could help. I hope you get some answers xx
Yup shoulder i made worse trying to do press ups. Not sure now if it's my rotator cuff again or a trapped nerve as some times i can move it and others it is agony and have been holding it still. Lower back i have put out several times this year and ended up on diazapam laid up on the floor for a few days each time. Hips i have had problems for 3 or more months and was worse waking up in the morning i ended up putting my matress on the floor and recently the pain has gone.
You need to try work out if anything helps/makes it worse. Pain diary maybe helpful as would checking in with your GP as it can get us down.
Thank you for replying i have a appointment with gp and will keep diary to show him the days i am in pain, family do not understand what the pain is like ,being a man they think i can bare itTake care
I have a heated massage cushion which has two adapters, one for the car and one for the home. You can choose the zones and the rhythm and speed and it's great when you have the heat on. If it's hard for you to get mobile, I recommend you try one. I never drive without it and if I'm lain up, I use it. It helps me.
I suffer from pain in my hips too, and numbness on my skin on my bum. I get the restless legs feeling around my lower back and hips every night, it is so uncomfortable and it makes me desperate to get into bed. When I finally finish sorting my hubby out and getting him settled, I fall into bed and I wish I could go to sleep, but the feeling in my hips prevents me from falling asleep even though I'm exhausted. Then it starts all over again at 5am when hubby wakes up. I know the lack of sleep is making everything so much worse and it's the tiredness that causes the awful feeling in my hips. It's a viscous circle, like a roundabout that I can't get off.
thank for taking the time to reply, I can understand the pain you have i also have more or less the same cannot sleep at the moment manage a couple of hours during the day, sorry you are also suffering at 40 years of age i am 70 and expect a few aches and pain but you are younghope you get some relief soon
Yes get hip pain and twinges in my back I have to stop and straighten up until they pass and shoulder and arm pain particularly in my right arm my left isnt as bad. I have been taking omega capsules for about a month or a little over they dont cure it but ease to the extent where I can function mive my limbs and manage pain without pain killers which has quite amazed me. Heat also helps I find when my shoulder pain is bad I have like a neck cushion I pop in the microwave and put on my neck it helps relief the pain and I find it comforting. I hope this helps and sorry to hear of your illness it is tough one and I imagine it's hard to slow down if you had been independent beforehand. I only turned 40 and struggle to slow down it's been a hard 2 years for me.
thank you for replying sounds like you are having a torrid time ,hope you get some relief soon i am 70 and expect some aches and pains besides fibro but you are only 40 , i also find it hard to slow down always be active, untill brain injury and minor stroke.take care and stay safe
