I woke up today with a big surprise, my bank balance had increased overnight,I checked it and it said it was from dwp pips.! I am so happy and relieved ๐Ÿ˜…. Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement. It has been a roller coaster of emotions but worth it in the end.

Good for you. Now you can enjoy the peace. It was the same for me. I had to appeal but thankfully it got changed at mandatory decision in my favour. I am glad its all over and feel grateful. God bless

Amazing. Iโ€™m so happy that these appeals are winning.

My dad had his stopped last year and unsure why as he is severely ill.

He finally got his awarded and didnโ€™t even have to go to tribunal. He spoke to someone very senior at DWP and they was appalled that it had been stopped at all. Itโ€™s helped him out massively and I hope it will for you too!

The problem is, a lot of people who donโ€™t deserve it get it and people who really need it, donโ€™t and thatโ€™s where the problem lies! Xx

Thank you ๐Ÿ™ Iโ€™m glad itโ€™s over. Yes itโ€™s nearly impossible for genuine people to get it.x

A lot of people think that those of us with Fibromyalgia don't deserve to get it. I think that it's important that we don't fall into the trap of thinking some disabled people are more deserving than others, when they suffer from Invisible disabilities. It is really too easy to reach judgements about other people, but as we all know from our own Fibromyalgia, there can be good and bad days. Some of us force ourselves to do things, because we need to live life on the few good days we get. The whole point about invisible disability is that it is invisible. We may look well and behave like the well, while inside we are in agony and falling apart.

You are so right. Reading here I don't think my problems are as severe as many of you, and I am retired so don't have to worry about the money side. So I count myself fortunate.

I was practically crippled five years ago and since then have had both my hips replaced, my friends were very sympathetic, because that was something they could see and understand, but now that is done and I still have pain and mobility issues it is clear their understanding has 'dried up'. My husband is in the same boat, he is 6'5" and looks fit, but has had a spinal fusion that has left him mobile but with periods of severe pain. He is often asked to help lift, push, whatever and is just regarded as unhelpful when he says he can't. He also has severe tintus and that means he doesn't always hear/comprehend things clearly, people get impatient.

There are so many 'hidden' disabilities, and we don't want to go round with a sign round our necks, we all try to live a life that is as normal and productive as possible. Very sad then when our efforts mean people believe we are fit and could do more.

I wish you, and all here, the very best with this.

So true , l moved recently into a new home with my family and the new house has disabled ramp and the rest and l heard a neighbour mutter to another l donโ€™t look disabled without understanding my condition, l have had metal fusion disc operation, suffer from lumbar spine stenosis and just last week my Orthopeadic surgeon sent me a message l needed more surgery for two other back disc and nerve damage on site of last operation done just over 2years ago not to talk about my other pains and medical conditions, some of us try not to wear our problems on our sleeve,we struggle we should stop judging one another , a lot of people despite their conditions get on with their lives
