PIPs HELP

Hi new to site but have had fibro for more than twenty years.

help i have the pips form but i am having a problem in filling it out , i cant find the words i need to answer the questions or how to answer

Hi Hidden here's wishing you a warm welcome to the group. Yes the forms can be a mindfield. Do you not have anyone at all who can help you fill them out. A partner, close friend or family member? Have you tried calling your local CAB. Try to remember they are interested in how your illness effects you not what illnesses you have.

Try to fill in the forms a little at a time rather than altogether. Think carefully before you put your answers on the form. My hubby had to do mine. But we found it easier by getting a note pad and going through each question and putting the answers on the note pad. Then when we were satisfied with our answers we just transfered them to the forms.

For each set of questions the DWP has to assess if you can do it reliably. This means can you do it safely, repeatedly and in a reSonable timescale which is no longer than twice as long as a non disabled person. You need the points scores sheets to refer to as you answer the questions so you can work out which score covers your situation. You will find them by googling them.
