UPDATE : So i did what you all suggested and called them this morning, yes its a crossover, another letter is on its way, the lovely lady i spoke to has now told me my award is on going, for the next ten years anyway, something to be said for being a pensioner (probably the only thing), very grateful for this and thank you all for your replies xx
Sent in my PIP review form two weeks ago and have been waiting for the result, today i get a letter thinking it was that and they have extended it again to 3rd September 2021, so less than a year, i turned 66 in August and became a pensioner, so less than a year which mean i cannot change my car for the automatic i wanted (Struggling now with the manual). It says if you have had a review form but havent sent it back , you have a month, i sent it back two weeks ago duh!!

Hi angelm54 - your post makes me wonder if a letter giving an extension hasn't just crossed with your review form, especially as it mentions sending your form back within a month if you have had one.
Perhaps you could ring the PIP enquiry line on 0800 121 4433 to find out for sure. They are open 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri. I'm afraid you might have a long wait; some get though in 20 mins, for others it's nearly an hour, but worth it for peace of mind. Mondays are likely very busy, so I would suggest ringing 9am on Tuesday if you can.
I too received an extension letter after making a change of circumstances claim, my new claim was not on the system when the letter arrived, I waited 3 weeks since posting my application to make sure my form had arrived, it had just waiting to be uploaded onto their system. You have nothing to worry about your in the same circumstances as myself.
I am going to ring them , its not a new claim just a review, though i was told that once i reached pension age , it would be a 10 year award.
I have seen quite a few people on the Fightback4justice forum saying they have just sent their review paperwork in but received an extension of their current award in the meantime. You could call the DWP to se if they have your review paperwork. It's just a matter of waiting I think. Good luck xx
DWP are sending out a lot of extension letters at present, to allow them more time to get through assessments and decisions.
It can take up to 2 weeks from DWP receiving your forms to it being uploaded onto their system, so it sounds like the extension letter has probably crossed in the post with your forms
They had already extended it some months ago to June but now it’s extended to September, I will ring them tomorrow to make sure they have the form back because it has been two weeks since I sent it , hopefully what you say is correct, I am hoping to get the 10 year soft review now that I am pension age , thank you x
I reached pension age in August , so because they have extended it , I’m hoping that it will be the 10 year one, I was under the impression that once you reached pension age that it what you would get.
