That Fibro was brought on by antibiotics, never bothered to seriously research it.
I’d like to know anyone who’s never had antibiotics if they have Fibro. But, I doubt it though!

It would be just as likely if not more likely to be the underlying reason that caused you to need the antibiotics.
But ultimately, there is no conclusive proof of any cause as yet but many theories. The best theory at present is some genetic risk factor and then an environmental trigger. Some have cited a car crash, a virus or some emotional event. But some have no obvious cause or trigger.
I researched it when i was diagnosed in 2004, at that time there were 5 possible causes, stress, trauma - this was everything from a car accident to falling down the stairs, virus, i cant remember what the other 2 were. my mother was mis-diagnosed for 42 years with MS, turned out to be Antilipidsodal syndrome, also known as Hughes syndrome (this was discovered in 1985 but even today a lot of Doctors have not heard of it), when i was reserching that, the Hughes Foundation had discovered that people who have Hughes syndrome ofen have family members with Fibromyalga, so there could also be conections with other illnesses as well
It will not surprise me if we later find that our current understanding of fibro is wrong and perhaps is 3 or more illnesses with different causes. This would explain the variable results in treatments. Links to other conditions already exist with greater risk of fibro if you have AS but also there will be people that are misdiagnosed. It is a statistical certainty that is increased by the difficulty in diagnosis.
There is more to learn certainly but we must also build on what we already know and improve that knowledge rather than discarding it and reinventing the wheel perhaps.
