Hi I am new to this group and listening to all your comments I have been suffering from Fibromyalgia for many years. It’s frustrating going to the doctors time after time, with no explanation for the pain I endure everyday.

Good to meet you all

Ok thank you when I mentioned it my GP she just said there is nothing she can do and sent me an NHS link, which had the link for this group attached to it.

I will go back to her.

Hi, and a very warm welcome to the forum where you'll find support and understanding.

Unfortunately some GP's are not very supportive when it comes to fibro. If you don't have a supportive GP I would suggest trying to see another GP within your surgery or even changing surgeries if necessary. Good luck x

Hello Joyous. Might be a good idea to see a different Doctor. In the end I asked to be referred to see a rheumatologist after doing my own research. But I had been going back and forth for many years.

It can be a long drawn out process.

I don't know if doctors are doing referrals yet with the covid but worth an ask.

Hope it goes well

Hi joyous

Welcome to the group. Definitely go see your gp. It was a very long haul for myself for many years back/forth to gps, not taken seriously before a fall downstairs and visit to hospital. I needed xrays to investigate the damage finding oa on my spine, but no broken bones and referral to rheumatologist that finally led to my diagnosis of fibro and oa. Please don't give up - after all you know your own body and pain you endure.

Good luck x
