I'm researching different ways to meditate with the hope it will help with some of my fibromyalgia symptoms (headaches, pain, fatigue, insomnia) but also that it could tackle some of my anxiety which is definitely a trigger.
I just wanted to ask if any of you have used any particular apps or videos of guided meditation that you would recommend?
Thank you in advance. I hope you're feeling okay today xx

I find two short practices called The Comma (2 minutes) and the Body Scan (5 minutes) are excellent. Short and easy to practice. Try googling them, there is an audio of The Comma on a website called Yogamate by Craig Hassad (Hope I am allowed to mention this!)
I am also currently doing an online course on a website called Futurelearn, called " Mindfulness for wellbeing and peak performance" which is free to join. Craig Hassad who does the comma meditation is one of the presenters of the course, it may be worth you looking at this, you can do the course at your own speed (I do about an hour a day) and it lasts several weeks. I am finding it an excellent course and it also helps with anxiety issues.
I find the calm app quite good and there are few other fairly good ones. I have a meditation cushion and if I’m really focused I will sit on it and stare at a candle to meditate. Different things work for us all. Good luck with it xx
I've started using the calm app and am finding it is helping, thank you. I like the choice on there - I can really go with how I feel x
The best app I have found is Insight Timer. It contains over 42,000 meditations/
mindfulness/podcast items- so something for everybody! You can download it from Play Store. You do not have to pay unless you want the upgraded version which I didn't find necessary as there is soooo much choice. Don't hesitate to use the filters to find what you're looking for. Best used with ear buds. Good luck with this and happy meditation!
TheTapping Solutions Meditations app has 21 free guided EFT meditations specific to coronavirus stress and anxiety . EFT is widely used and we’ve found it to be effective. There’s a link to video tutorials to show you how to tap, if you’re new to EFT at the bottom of each meditation. I’ve never found the need to upgrade, as all the coronavirus section is free, as are some of the others. There is a free to download app, or access on the website.
I have had a lot of success with both pain and anxiety by using the headspace app. My daughter, who suffers from a number of mental health problems, also has found a lot of relief using it.
