Really Struggling

I am presently in hospital with chronic pain in my neck, shoulders, ribs and upper back. Sweating and feeling generally unwell. I have been asking for steroid relief because even though I have been diagnosed with fibro years ago this is more pain than I have ever had and it seems to be in my joints. Has anyone else had relief from steroids. I am at my wits end.

I was given steroid injections a couple of weeks ago which didn't work. For some people they do work but it's just my luck that they didn't!!! Take care Lynne

I Filey your in the right place hope you see specialist while your there make sure u don't leave until u are relived of pain it can be debilitating I know steroids are know to help some and not others if you want to try them go ahead don't stress I know it's easier said but we tence up it makes us much worse let us no how you get on I hope the steroids work xxx😘😘😘😘

Steroids are generally not recommended for fibromyalgia pain, because the pain is due to disordered pain processing rather than actually in the joints or muscles.

Give it a try nothing 2 loose then get on some potent meds if your not already on morphine or similar...opiates do work 4 my fibro..maybe I've been misdiagnosed cause there certainly not me and 2 work although I often think that's complete bull...
