Pip report

Hi, my wife had her pip report from the DWP and it is a lot of untruths and contradictory. Can we complain about this report before we have had a decision

Hi i phoned up for my daughters report and it was a shambles - like i had taken a different person there for the F2F! i received it and called the DWP and they said no you cant complain yet, if you dont like the decision then you can make a complaint and do a MR - but its so frustrating reading the lies and all the things that are wrong, but good luck Take care

Hi, thank you for the reply. I’m considering complaining directly to Capita as they do have a complaints system but I don’t want the cart before the horse, complain about report before the decision.

I was told by the DWP that if I had a complaint about the assessors I was to address it to them directly. They (assessor) wrote a whole booklet (false) on what they said they did with me and even though it was the dwp who refused my mandatory reconsideration based on their report, they didn't want anything to do with it.

Hello, now you have got your wife’s assessment report and know roughly what her award may should be if it ok then let sleeping dogs lie. The decision makers mostly award the recommendations of the assessment report and if you are not happy with the expected outcome then time is on your side to collect and prepare for the next stage an MR focusing on the descriptors where you think your wife should have been awarded point but did not. Give real examples of what happens or happened the last time or each time your wife tries or attempts each descriptor your writing about, contesting. On no account mention about the wrong, misrepresentation,reporting that is written in the report as the DWP will not and are not interested in any remarks or comments made by the accessor. Make sure you fully understand the pip descriptors stating the reasons why your wife is unable to preform the descriptors safely and repeatedly in a timely manner. Remember PIP is not awarded on a diagnosis, disability or the medications that you are prescribed.

Making a Complaint to the DWP about the assessor at your assessment is a waste of time. It’s like having your car a Honda serviced at a Honda dealership then moan and complain about the poor service at your Ford dealership. The Ford guy won’t be interested rightfully so take your complaints to the assessment company not that you get much joy from them.

I complained to both Capita and then once they upheld my complaint, to DWP. Capita paid me £300 and my Appeal resulted in a double Enhanced award, even though Capita gave me nothing for Daily Living. Complaining is the only way this awful process will ever improve. DWP upheld my complaint and said their decision-makers failed to use my DLA file that contained everything they needed.

Well done 👍. More people need to do this otherwise they think they can walk all over us. Fight the good fight. 👍
