Hello. I had my assessment about 6 weeks ago. Today I noticed a payment from pip in my bank account but I have not received any letter confirming this has been awarded. Should I get my hopes up ? Or is this a one off payment ? Has this happened to anyone else ? 😀

Fingers crossed for your daughter. No I cannot remember exactly when I rang. I will just have to wait till I get the letter. x
Thought i would update, just called up and they say the letter is in the post and its lower rate care until 2022 so its what i expected but its taken a long time and the report was such a fast, like reading about somebody else's daughter but its done now!

Well done u 😊looks like gd news it's 6bweeks today I've been waiting I'm hoping I hear this week
It quite often happens, there will be a letter on the way explaining it all. Joined up action and thought isn't always a feature of the DWP, unfortunately!
You could have phoned DWP for your answer instead of hoping someone on the forum can, could give you information. Plus also a week after your assessment you can request a copy of your assessment report and on receiving it you can workout what you're award may should be but you still have to wait for the official award confirmation letter.
Your right I could have phoned but I suffer with anxiety and making phone calls make me anxious. I will just wait for a letter.
Make sure you ring dwp and ask about sever disability payment it’s worth quite a bit of extra money each money they won’t tell you this by letter I rang and the gentleman I spoke to was brilliant he said if I was awarded pip I should be entitled to this extra benefit he asked me 3 questions and sent me a form to sign and that was it so easy good luck
