Hey everyone,

I tried PT, specific for fibromyalgia pain, all it did was cause me more pain. I couldn't sleep because of the severe pain I had ALL OVER MY BODY

I had to go to the pharmacy and buy lidocaine patches for my shoulders and my back to try to ease the pain. I cannot take tylenol or motrin or aleve because of my liver and kidney disease,I was actually sent for PT because I went to The Pain Center for help with my intense pain from fibro.

I spoke with my doctors and we all agreed I should stop physical therapy.

Next we are supposed to try corticosteroid injections in my neck and shoulders, but I am not sure about steroid use with all my other illnesses.

If injections don't work we will try a 7 day pain patch

wish me luck.....

Peace ✌ & Love 💕,

Sharon

Hi Sharon Good you are getting to try a number of things and hopefully soon you will find something that really helps you. I also tried PT but it also caused me more pain so that’s a big no-no.

Good luck 🍀and big hugs 🤗 Lynn

Sometimes this depends on the therapist and what they do. Fascial Release and Body Realignment do not cause pain neither during nor after. A good mantra to bear in mind is: “if you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got”. Sometimes we have to change what we do, how we carry things, etc. I know this and get back pain because I insist on digging the garden; it’s a trade-off.

Anyway, sorry to hear that you’re suffering. Hope you get an answer.

UPDATE: My heart doctor put me on a new diuretic for heart and kidneys took me off diuretic for my liver [they say after 1 year it is ineffective, I was on it for 2 years]

So last week, suddenly, my feet and legs swelled, my gut swelled, I had trouble breathing, couldn't sleep because I couldn't lay down...

Called heart doctor, he added a low dose of the diuretic they had stopped [spironolactone] and doubled the torsemide [diuretic for heart and kidneys] and said NO SALT, I have an appointment 8 AM Monday [2/17] I have to go do blood work prior to appointment.

Wednesday I am having a paracentesis IF they can get to the fluid in my abdomen,

Thursday I have to see my Primary for hyperparathyroidism [is it or isn't it?]

Friday I see the pain doctor for corticosteroid injections for neck and shoulder pain.

I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired, I am super grumpy because of pain and lack of sleep. I just don't know how much more of this I can take. Even my hands and elbows hurt from typing.

And changing the way I carry myself or the way I move doesn't change anything...the pain is always there, no matter. There are things I just don't do anymore, so they don't get done.

~Peace ✌& Love [always] 💕❤💕
