Hi has anyone any experience of qinnine for restless leg syndrome please? It says they are for cramps and malaria!!??. Thank you x

Yes i have and they say it's for cramps but not effective for RLS. And apparently it banned in some countries cause someone died from it

but some people on the forum have used it and yes there is a US study that points out the higher risk. If it is within tonic water from memory there is no increased risk as it is a much smaller amount.

But you are best to speak to your GP about it.

I would say yes I've bought tonic water for leg and toe cramps

And i have restless leg syndrome not cramps so unsure if the gp has made a mistake x

I drink tonic water in the evening to help with restless legs at night

I was on medication previously (not quinine) which helped for a bit then actually started making my restless legs worse

What has helped me, is using a weighted blanket on the bed

Hi I find them great no more restless legs of cramps only thing that has worked give them a try hope they work for you .

I used to be on it for years for cramps then the Dr said I had to come off it as it was bad for hearts, drinking tonic water to get any relieve you would have to drink voluminous amounts he said, flight socks are very good for restless legs only need to wear for 20 mins Love & Hugs Xx

Hi thank you for your comments im starting to feel better now on the quinine and tonic water now i think it was heightened by stress of xmas x
