PIP Mobility restored

Hi all, just wondered how many of you lost your PIP mobility at review. I have heard it's happening to a lot of people and I lost mine that I'd had for twenty years. I am suspicious and many have suggested it's to do with DWP not wanting to pay mobility after pension age as you can only get Attendance Allowance then. Anyway, I complained about my assessor to Atos and the NMC and finally Atos buckled and wrote to the DWP asking them to look at my award again and take into account my GP's letter (for MH problems as well as physical). Got it all restored after that letter so don't give up is the message!

Hidden did you go through all the complaints stages? There are 3 stages then you can take it to the Independent Case Examiner (ICE). NMC is Nurse & Midwifery Council - I wrote to them because felt my assessor was in breach of the professional code but they backed up Atos :( They did say to let them know though if I had success at MR so I emailed them last week

Hi FoggyMoggy

How bad dose your mobility and your pain have to be before you can get free prescriptions!!!

Hi Purple-haze can get free prescriptions if you are on any income-based benefits or if you are on a low income, you get an HC1 certificate, fill it out and send it off. If you qualify you will get free prescriptions but you need to renew it annually!
