Hermes123. Management! Just watch the video clips and I am left wondering if the Consultants really get the message or understand the management link between them selves and the patient and the message of management they are trying to get over. As an 81. year old suffering since 1969. laying on a board for three months and having to Waite till 1982. to get a very risky operation followed by three months in hospital of which six weeks on sight physiotherapy. Followed up by many visits to a G.P. Experimenting with drugs not certain of what ones reaction would be, hell in some cases having to go to work heavy manual task leading to more trapped nerves, then came the rack and a plethora of other crackpot ideas, as time went on more understanding developed but did I get relief short answer no, pain management talks on how too? did I go home fulfilled no, not enough retrieving not the programmes answers, but the individuals feeling at that time, but away from the physiotherapist and occupational therapist delving more into home and work lives, they are where positivity come from or not, how did I get through the day? by loading myself with as much work as possible there by overloading my brain as much as possible. Yes the pain was there and at the end of the working day I knew all about it. But exhaustion took over not long for asleep. I have seen many changes read loads of articles, books, C.D. and have they eased pain NO. I have now become a carer for my stroke victim wife, still suffering some times I think Consultants spend to much time studying the brain side of things and not enough work on damage areas. Hermes.

Hi antbeech1963. You certainly have been dealt a rough pack a cards my friend, I cannot find the words to describe what you must be going though. Myself its all my joints that have had there day ! Or so I am told I know in my heart of hearts I could be made more comfortable than what I am, but it's the same old tune your old and wearing out.
the pain resulting from Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia is of years off not getting to the route cores of the problem, instead off re routing these problems back to the brain it the pathway from the brain to the injury is blocked, no amount of electrical impulses can pass go. Do you ever watch Super Vet on T.V. now the way that vet evaluates an injury, then works out a solution is amazing, what I would give to be a dog in his hands. Hermes.
