If you need tips and tricks then you ought to be bricking it. If you want advice, well here goes:- Don't do anything which causes you pain or discomfort (including making tea or sitting on a soft/hard chair. He yourself, answer all questions truthfully, don't overestimate what you can do and don't underestimate what you can't. Have someone else there, to make tea, open the door and remember things that you forget.
Thankyou for your reply!, should have elaborated about the tips and tricks, in my original post I forgot to add that the tips and tricks I was referring to is how to answer the assessors questions, been told not to answer yes or no and to go into detail with my answers, but because I’ve been seeing on here that some peoples assessors have been lying, I don’t want to seem like a faker by over answering them? (If that makes any sence) I think I might be worrying about it to much, might need to calm down
If you have been advised that a condition is long term, you must make sure you get that across in your answers, the same if you have been told something can only degenerate and not regenerate , get that across too. Make sure you emphasise the important bits and don't spend too long on the niceties of your answers.
Hi, you have to tell them what your worst days are rather than telling them what you can do. When they ask you to do little tasks tell them if you are in pain or if you know you can’t do them. Good luck & remember they don’t make the decision they pass onto someone else to make the decision so make sure you tell them everything. Good luck & yes have a friend or family their to make tea and to listen and help you where necessary. Soft hugs
Ask them what field of the medical profession they work in and how much experience and knowledge they have of your condition. If they offer you a document to read don't over stretch to take it. Have all you medication in front of you to show them and let the person with you show the boxes to the assessor. They are the ones with the tricks and will exaggerate and twist everything you say. I had one put in there assessment that she had fully examined me on a medical couch when in fact I had been sat in my wheelchair the whole time. Good luck I hope all goes well.
