Has anyone had a phone pip assessment?

I had one it was 21/ hours of degrading and violation of my illness and like

Has any one had the same ?

Yes , my PIP assessment was by phone.It felt like I had to justify everything , as though I wanted to be ill and just get free money.

But , in the end I did get my PIP, with enhanced mobility , so it was worth doing , although stressful , frustrating and slightly humiliating.

Hi, The assessment is odd, they try to make you feel like you don't even know how you feel yourself because of the way they ask their questions. I had a face to face assessment and it was like an interrogation, like I had committed a crime. I didn't get it first time the reason was that because i could answer all questions with no problem at all, but got it when i appealed. That was years ago and I bet it's even worse if it's on the phone.

I had my second phone assessment last week. I had one three years ago and it needed renewing. Each time they took over 2 hours. I don't know if this time I will be accepted but I just answered as honestly as I could sparing no embarrassing details. Sometimes I felt like the lady was trying to catch me out (could I peel a potato?) and I have no clue what she was typing her end - was it the same as my answers? Did she really understand that with my medical conditions I can only get worse, not better? Yes it was humiliating but illness is - every day. Fingers crossed tightly for a successful result.

Yes some were very odd! Think they try to catch you out. My brain not up to mind games so goodness knows what gibberish I answered! Good luck to both of us xx
