Hi everyone

Because I have replied to a lady on the same medication as and had the same symptoms like hot flushes but feeling like Ian under a running tap. I am 55 and the dr

Still won’t do a blood test to put my mind at rest that I am on the menopause.

I am constantly hot. Both children have moved out and both my cats.

And worst of all my companion for 16years my beautiful dog Eddie has recently died.

If I am hot I won’t know if it is really cold and put some heat on.

My question is I f I feel hot and it is actually freezing, do I need to do anything about it?

Any help and advise is always most gratfulo received

Thank you.

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., M orning, I would differently book into see another doctor there is not a good reason why this current one is refusing a blood test for you, I’m guessing at 55 you are experiencing menopause symptoms, us ladies are all different my doctor said no to menopause after I told him about my family history of early ones, he didn’t listen I went through and finished at 44. I sometimes see my practioner nurse at surgery that might be a good place to start, they differently seem to be in tune, and can give out prescription s and advice much like the doctor. Sorry to hear about your lovely dog it’s heart breaking I know. I’ve posted a link above if you would like to lock your posts that way only our community can see and not open to any other site engines on the internet, take care pick up the phone tomorrow so you can get some much needed advice xx

Apologies for the delay in replying. Nurse Gladys123. I. Was actually diagnosed with endometriosis in my 20’s. So I am glad to see the end of the periods.

I had no idea of the all encompassing grief and guilt I feel about letting Eddie go. I couldn’t look after him properly because of illness but he had lots of friends that said beautiful words about him when they took him for walks.

He was my best friend and I miss him so much!

I shouldn't worry just keep the house at a lower temp but not really cold. Last year didn't wear a coat unless wet as sweltering otherwise. Black cohosh and agnus castus can be good for flushes and night sweats.

Blood tests often show nothing as if never had a baseline a drop may not show in results. Mine were normal but after ruling out all other options had to assume was perimenopause and now nearly 5 years in. I've got my symptoms bearable. Apart from effects on Fibro pain, insomnia and intense itching. Do rattle with all the pills but without was a wreck.

Do your own research, rule out your thyroid etc and then try herbal meds, most Doctors get taught nil about menopausal symptoms.

Hope you can get on top of flushes as it is awful, I get very short fused when hot and in pain which does impact relationships.

Hi Bonny......Phew! I know what you mean all too well. BUT please try taking a sage tablet (can be bought at H & Barrett or on line with Amazon) Ever since I have been on them my hot flushes are so much better. Mine is not menopausal as I am 73 and well passed that. Mine is meds I think, or just another of Fibro's crazy symptoms. It was like a miracle when having taken just one tablet I couldn't believe it was working so said nothing for a couple of days. My daughter is now on them as she is menopausal and swears by them.

Do try them and let us know how you get on. Sending gentle hugs..Trikki
