Swollen red eyes

Woke up this morning with a red swollen eye... now early evening the other eye is the same. Red and sore and puffy at the top of my cheeks ... anyone had this ?

I’ve been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and also Hypothyroidism

Hi there, if it's still bad tmw I would have a word with your pharmacist. It sounds like it maybe conjunctivitis.

Get it checked out by the local pharmacist or your doctor, as two years my husband had a very red eye. At first I thought it was just conjunctivitis but it turned out to be a sign of very high blood pressure.....it was the forerunner for symptoms associated with heart disease and several weeks later when he started suffering shortness of breath when exercising (on his usual daily walk) he ended up having a heart attack (luckily a mild one) & hospitalised & had stents put in..... so don't just assume that red eyes are conjunctivitis, as was my initial assumption. I'm not trying to frighten you but just get it checked out ASAP by doctor.

Seen pharmacist who says maybe an allergy and see your optician... rang optician who advised go to walk in clinic so going there soon... will update what they say.. thank you 😊

Went to walk in clinic and told to go to local hospital ... went there and no Dr’s around so told to call 111... now waiting call back ?? ☹️

Only a couple of times..I find old wives remedies work. For my eyes I use cold tea bags still moist and place them over each affected eye the results are really good..
