Will let you know how it goes

Thank you guys 😊

Could I advise you to walk exceptionally slowly if they take you for an assessment walk..On a hill or incline lean forward so as to show its a big effort and stop in between steps... I tried for one and because I managed 50 metres I wasn,t given one, I objected and said my local town shops are more than 50 meteres from car parks but got nowhere.. good luck hope you get one....my neighbour did her applic, online and won.

Hi Ladybex, I got turned down for a Blue Badge so I appealed the decision and sent a letter from my doctor explaining how my conditions affected me. I had to pay for the letter, but it was worth it as I won the appeal and got a Blue Badge 😁

If you do get your doctor to write a letter for you, make sure you tell them what you want it to say eg: how your condition affects your ability to walk.

Good luck πŸ˜‰

Hi

Or write the letter yourself with all your medical diagnosis and make sure you have a recent prescription to add to it. I work for the health service and staff are truly busy. They don’t usually mind if you take your letter in with you at your appointment, (don’t leave it with reception as the envelope is probably read and might not get to you busy doctor).

Hopefully your doctor can have a quick read and sign in front of you :)

I was turned down last year because I can walk and they said my problem was.more my upper body. Exactly the further I have to walk to my car the more pain I have!! Madness. But as I also have depression and anxiety I'm cross g my fingers I'll get it if I reapply. Good luck. Perhaps you could let.us know if you are approved. X

Exactly the same happened to mr. They don't seem to realise that carrying anything makes pain worse and wears you out. I also have anxiety and depression amongst other things. If you get blue badge on second application would you be kind enough to let me know please. Good luck x

Hi "Lock your post"

It dosen't mean you will get one as they still decide but it's on the list of things they consider!

I move up with Being autistic(Asperger's)and for me parking is a massive issue as even if go and pay it is on my mind the whole time im where ever and can become quite agitated with it all and that reflects on who/where i am with/at!

I rarely ever use the tube as since had stroke got very aggressive in my mind as just wanted to tell everyone to F off of the train as my brain wasn't comfy with situation!

But managed to beat myself up inside sort of thing! and defuse it then Hurrah stop came along and got off.

Buses not quite so bad but most times i just don't go anywhere.
