Hi everyone i Havnt been on here for the last few days , i have been at my wits end with pain absloulty out of control with it.has you can see that i have been priscribed these meds and like all meds you got to give it time to get into your system to work granted.so help me god !! I have been dosed up to the max the pain got through the med barrier zoramph is slow releasing and had to ween back abit of the oramoph has i have been in a terrible state of constipation Absloulty unreal ..i have been off my meals i havnt had a rest in my own bed has i cant keep still, due to ils and pain.iam so exhausted my days are long not being able to get out iam in a derelict area were walking is a big big problem .iam scarde to the point of never being me again .i strive to be positive i have the greatest humour and the biggest ❤ but my god i have shedded the biggest tears .is there any help out there is there anyone we can turn to. 😢

Hi, You have to deal with one problem at a time. To use the two meds you have got, in order to reduce pain, you need to take a single dose of Oramorph and a single dose of Zomorph together, then every twelve hours take another dose of Zomorph, and take the Oramorph according to the instructions from your GP/medics. Once your pain is under control, you can then start to take laxatives or wean off the Oramorph.

Yes the zoramph is one every 12hrs and the oramph is 2.5 upto 5ml four times a day but i have cut rite back of the oramoph .its terrible dealing with all this 😢 thanks for replying x

You need to ask the doctor for some lactulose to help with the constipation or even senna.

On a lighter point, isn’t it funny discussing things like this with basically strangers knowing you will get answered by people who care?

Yes i have the lactose i agree its abit embarrassing but good thing is am not alone in this unmistakable situation thank you for relpying .

I'm on those two meds plus duloxetine and nortriptyline. You definitely need lactulose. Please take care . Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
