Sorry to hear about all your health problems. I’m in pain most of the time. I’m on Morphine, slow release form , 50mg every 12 hrs. Also very good is Oralmorph , 200ml/400mg per week. I can’t take NSAIDS except for Naproxen 500mg. Don’t forget Paracetamol.

Do you sleep well. A goods nights sleep helps with relieving pain.

Good luck.

Hi there Peggy, here's wishing you a very warm welcome to our group :) I am so sorry to hear your suffering so bad with the pain. Have you spoke with your GP about how bad the pain is. Your doctor would be the best person to speak with has they are the ones who can give you the medications to hopefully help you.

I do not take medication so can not offer any advice on what works for me. Hopefully others may be along abd say what works or not for them.

Hi

I'm sorry you are in so much pain, I too have many conditions which cause pain. Have you tried duloxetine, oramorph, zomorph or nortriptyline? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

I’m on Oralmorph and Zomorph 50mg twice a day. I take Nortriptyline 100mg at night. It helps with pain, mood, and sleep.

Don’t take any more as you will have trouble peeing in the morning.

They give it to kids who wet the bed.

The trouble is that most doctors don’t like prescribing opiates.

Hi

I'm on oramorph-40ml per day, nortriptyline, 125mg at night, zomorph 60mg morning and night, duloxetine 40mg morning and night. Paracetamol when I need it. My consultant said u can have nsaids cos of all my other conditions but not on a regular basis . Take care Lynne

Try Naproxen 500mg. Safest NSAID.

Can you get a referral to a pain clinic? Where do you live? I find that Tapentadol/Palexia is good for bad pain. Celebrex is also good as an alte4natuve to ibuprofen.

Dear Peggy ,

I'm sorry you are in so much pain , its awful isnt it ? I have good days so i think i'm probably not so badly off as some. I have fibro , which mainly keeps me exhausted tho it can be very painful , and arthritis in my right knee and ankle mainly, and gardeners back !. At the moment i have had a urine infection for more than two weeks , thats painful !

I take paracetamol which helps a bit surprisingly , and i rely now on cbd oil in a spray , it doesnt seem to interfere with my heart medication etc. People do get good results with it. But you would have to check with your doctor if its ok with your meds of course. I have codeine phosphate and celebrex , but they are meant to help with my restless legs, i dont take them regularly., because the celebrex would interfere with my heart.meds. It is also a strong opiate unlike paracetamol. Then again i take two tramadol in the afternoon for restless legs The afternoon is my best time , perhaps because i have taken tramadol and the cbd spray.

You can get cbd from holland and barratt , ir amazon or other health supplement companies. They will advise you , as you need to start on a low dose and build up . It has no hallucinatory compounds , it is purely medicinal marijuana and legal now for about 18 months

I also use Braggs cider vinegar, and turmeric and ginger . you can get capsules with turmeric , and turmeric with ginger and bromelian. The turmeric works better with black pepper , so i've started to do that ( at the moment adding the powder to mayonnaise , in the winter adding them to soups and stews ). They are anti inflamatory. I havent yet tried boswelia i think thats supposed to be good. Glucosamine and chondritin with msm and green lipped mussel for arthritis and other minerals and k2 for my bones. B vitamins of course .

As you can see i'm a great believer in natural remedies where possible. I do hope some suggestion here may be useful , God bkess you KT

Morning Peggy, you certaintly have a lot of health conditions to cope with so I am very sorry to read of your pain levels, I agree with dizzytwo try and get back into your surgery to see your doctor have you had a review with him/her lately. I have osteoporosis my family all had early change and I followed through so not surprised at all I have it . How often are they monitoring you for the kidney disease, not something I know much about ?? Perhaps you could explain to me what has happened to you. Glad to see you have joined the group so sending you a warm welcome xx

Hiya Peggy I've just been reading some of your replies and it's like we live on another planet all these drugs with long winded names! I too have chronic kidney disease but luckily it doesn't bother me too much as yet! I take tramadol for my pain and it works really well for me! But it can be a bit of trial and error I had lots of different things before that didn't help or made my head go strange so try to get your dr to help if he gives you something that doesn't help keep going back until you do we are all so different and have different needs! I do hope your pain improves soon!

Dearest Peggy,

I too suffer with CKD [stage 3] and ESLD [stage 4] liver cirrhosis

I am sorry you are in so much pain. Are you on dialysis treatments? My suggestion, because your disease is advanced would be morphine or dilaudid [a morphine derivative]

I see this post is a week old so I am sincerely hoping you have found some relief. Keep us informed.

Peace ✌& Love ❤

~Sha
