I hate this

The Gabapantin has helped me in so ways BUT, I now have numbness in my hands. It makes it difficult to sleep and do this I enjoy. My back and neck pain are still there and I don’t go see the Doc until July. I Hate This!

Maybe see if you can get an earlier appointment with your GP, or even speak to them on the phone. I hope you can get something that helps.

I too suffer like you do & it's down to degenerative discs whole spine, trapped nerves in neck, discs L4/5 slipped/bulging & won't go back in leaving me with permanent nerve damage/sciatica down my right side. I've tried gabapentin, duloxetine, pregabalin, fentanyl patches & zomorph, but have suffered with chronic side effects on all except gabapentin which I still take. My dosage is 3 x 300mg 3 times a day. I started off seven years ago on 100 mg daily & am now on 2700mg. It doesn't take the pain away, but masks it. I've tried coming off it, lost 2 stone, but the pain was more horrendous & excruciating. I take it with codeine & oramorph, amongst many other meds. I "sleep" sat upright on the couch with my feet raised on a footstool. When I say sleep, I mean catnap with pain waking me. I'm lucky if I get 2 hours solid, but it's usually only 1hr & I'm awake from 4-5am every morning. Life is a hell of pain, without a break...

It’s the worst isn’t it. So tired and want to sleep but pain disrupted sleep is not rest so we wake up exhausted and the cycle starts again. I do my best but sometimes it’s hard. I walk and started water exercise in hopes that will help. Painting and sitting in my backyard is my favorite, bit painting is becoming increasingly difficult as the numbness is my right hand makes it hard. Sending your hugs

Oh bless you, we're in the same boat aren't we😣 I enjoy sewing, but numb hands & arthritic left thumb (7yrs of using a crutch) means I can't do it for too long. I used to love walking too, but the pain makes me super slow & I can't go far. It's depressing, distressing & debilitating...😒

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hello there , some surgeries offers a call back system when doctor has finished his surgery they have a list and they call you to discuss any issues with you you have concern for mite be worth a try rather than wait till July. I’ve posted a link above if you would like to lock your posts as only our community can see. Take care and hope you get that call. X
