Dreaming I’m in pain

I often feel pain in my sleep and wake with pain, crying out ur moaning and groaning. Today I dreamt about my headache and pain in my feet I was crawling to the bathroom and the pain in my head was so excruciating woke in a bucket of sweat! I feel like it’s completely taken over my life. I’ve had a headache for days nothing is touching it, im exhausted, and my feet have been increased last couple of days ... when I woke all these pains were still there... I just want some proper rest and relief ... I can’t even escape in my dreams. I’ve had instances where I wake crashing (I believe this to be the cause of my Fibro as I started having pain following car accident) and it’s so real. Is it that my sub conscious won’t let me escape

or the first time ever, I believe you may benefit from a "Pain Management Course". Please don't mix this up with a pain clinic. The courses are usually over a four or five week period, and are beneficial to those who can apply mind over matter. Please ask your GP or consultant or Nurse-line to refer you to one of these courses, it really could help you.

I am on the waiting list but need to be stable on medication first and due to having to come off medication as I had stomach ulcers I’m not stable 😔

Yes, I know what that feels like. I actually got on a course and three days beforehand got admitted and had an emergency operation, so had to cancel. That was 18months ago now, and I have never got close enough to be able to, even, go on the waiting list since. Oh well, good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you so much for replying, I’m sorry you too are experiencing difficulties, I had surgery last year and feel as though my symptoms have worsened since

Poor you, that sounds dreadful. Last year I was diagnosed with PTSD. I used to dream about an accident that I witnessed when I was 12. Your experience sounds the same. Ask your GP to refer you for counselling. I was taught a technique to deal with the trauma and it has helped me.

Thank you so much for replying. PTSD has been mentioned to me in the past but I’ve always concentrated on my physical symptoms opposed to my emotional well being, I will definitely go see my gp.
