Hi FAB1, I have regular Vit B12 injections and have found that they have helped me to cope with my full-time job. I used to work part-time, which I found stressful enough as a fibro sufferer but, due to the recession and my husband losing his job, I have had to go back to work full-time. The injections definitely help my energy levels and, like Lynn, my body is the first to tell me when I'm overdue for my shot! (I have them every 4 weeks - I used to have one a week for 6 weeks and then go several months till the next 6 week course but I find the 4 weekly ones are working well for me). My GP is sympathetic towards fibro sufferers so that has helped

Hi. I have B12 injections every three months for my pernicious anaemia and find they dont help with fm.
Hello everyone. Thank you for your swift replies, which I do appreciate. My B12 blood test has come back normal but I am vegetarian and I need to ask my GP for the actual level of B12, rather than just his version of normal! In the UK I am going to have to ask for the injections to be done privately but I think from what you have said, that it is worth a try, at least once or twice to see what happens. Thank you so much. I will report back to you!
There is most definitely a connection to B12 deficiency and many people who have been diagnosed with B12 deficiency also have FM. Neither does a normal serum B12 result mean you don't have a functional deficiency. Have a read of the following discussion:
