Looking for an unbiased review of CBD oil

Hello,

I am a 26 year old male with chronic pain all over my body. It’s debilitating and exhausting.

I am looking for advice on CBD oil. I need an unbiased review in the sense that you didn’t use marijuana before you used it. I have nothing against marijuana I just choose not to smoke it. I’m looking for people who didn’t smoke but then started CBD oil for pain and want to know if it helped them at all.

I’d pretty much be willing to try anything at this point but CBD is expensive and I’m already a little weary of it.

Thanks for your time.

Tim

Dear Tim

i started cbd oil last summer , i hadnt smoked it before. Well except for one occasion twenty years ago when it did absolutely nothing for me ! .I find it great the cbd i mean i wish i 'd found it years ago. It takes a few weeks to work but after a while you get into a routine of how it works best for you. I now use a spray , its better value and is lasting a long time . Holland and barratt can advise you. You need to start with a low dose 5%

And build up gradually.

I am a pensioner on a low income and i feel its worth every penny. I get points for buying things at H and B , earn about £10 and then use that on the cbd oil. I hope you get other encouraging replies , i know that some of us use it. You can search for all the posts that recommend it. Usually on the right .

Gentle hugs dear Tim and love from Kay

Hi I’ve been on it for nearly 9 months now and my pain has eased so much it’s worth it. I’m on 250mg 3 drops every morning I tried increasing it but it didn’t suit me so stayed on the 250mg. I buy it from an online company it costs £19.99 for 10 ml. If you want the name of the company pm me. Pip x

Hi! I'm also searching for CBD oil but didn't buy yet as I find it expensive and am already in debts as I had to leave my job because of the condition, this price is much better tho. Could you send me the link as well? Many thanks in advance.

Hi just try it and see how u go, it does take a few days but don’t take more than 3 drops. I buy it at canabidol.com/cbd-vape-liquid/ and it’s £19.99 it lasts a long time as ur only using 3 drops. Best of luck and let me know how u get on Pip x

Umm im sure you realise but just in case you don’t, that says it’s vape liquid. It is intended to be inhaled/smoked. It doesn’t mention that it can be ingested. I would recommend good ol Holland and Barrett they generally do a buy one get one free so they work out £25 a bottle, although £50 for 2 months is a bit of a hit, everything’s worth a try! Gentle hugs X

Hi Sarah it’s the one I use I put 3 drops under my tongue every morning, I have discussed it with my doctor and it’s fine plus it works. Best of luck to you Pip x

Simply CBD do some very reasonably priced oils. There is a link in my help sheet below. I have no connection with them, other than as a customer. bit.ly/CBDHints1

I tried CBD oil last year on the recommendation of my husband's couisin who had found it very effective for her hip and lower back pain. I thought it was starting to help reduce my pain levels but started to have a very upset stomach and felt queasy all the time. At first I didn't connect it to the CBD oil until being in a rush to go out I forgot to take the morning dose and realised that by midday this horrible feeling was starting to reduce but again about half an hour after the nighttime dose it came back. I decided to stop it to see what happened the pain unfortunately returned in all its glory but the upset stomach settled down. Strangely his couisin emailed me only a few days later to ask how I was getting on as she said she had had to cease using it as she was having a thumping headache and digestive problems.

I had prviously tried the Medipen where you vape the oil. Again it helps but if I vape enough to really bring down the pain levels I get a stonking headache so only use when desperate.

Your experience might be completely different to mine and I know there are people on the forum who have found alot of relief from pain using the oil and swear by its good effect and have suffered little or no side effects. I must add that there are quite a few drugs I haven't been able to take because of side effects so my body might just be oversensitive. Good luck if you decide to try it as we are all different.x

Hi

I tried the oil but it knocked me sick. I now use a CBD oil heat rub which had really helped. I hope it works for you. Take care Lynne

Hi there Tim first off sorry to hear you're in so much pain. I understand and feel you're suffering.

Well I've been on CBD oil for just over a month now and at the moment it hasn't helped me at all, the only thing it has done is taken away my appetite. Which for me is very strange as with my flare ups of my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome I would get phases where I could not stop eating, I would never be satisfied , full up. It's stopped that completely.

I was told to take two drops three times a day but I've had to cut out the morning drops as it makes me so much more tired.

I'm going to keep with it tho as I'm aware it can take anywhere from two weeks to a couple of months to start working, everyone is different so give it a try , you've nothing to lose.

What I have been found helpful for my deep muscle pain I get is the medication Baclofen 10mg three times a day, although the side effects I'm getting are not great but it's a hard toss up in deciding to either stop the tablets and have my muscle pain. I'm in a no win situation.

Hope you get relief soon with what ever you decide, best wishes

It may be worth you trying a different type or brand, CBD is very much a case of trial and error to find what works best for you.

Hi there I wouldn't know where to even try and get a different one. I tried Holland and Barrett which was a total waste of money , I now use one that was recommended from a friend but that's where it ends, I don't know anyone or anywhere else I could try a different one

Any ideas?

😘

Take a look at my help sheet as it lists three suppliers. I use Simply CBD, as Brian is so helpful, prices are low, profits support their dog sanctuary and the products are good. The help sheet downloads without an email. I don’t profit from it, it’s my notes plus 3 years of taking CBD. I hope it helps, if not, get back to me. Rosey

I have been taking CBD OIL for nearly two years now and cannot see myself without it now! I never smoked marijuana. I started with CBD OIL with no THC slowly building up from 2 drops morning and evening, to 8 drops, I then opted for an oil with a low THC content and been very successful in cutting out prescription pain killers by half and totally off antidepressants!! I have my oils shipped from a friend in Ibiza and I'm happy to give you details of his website if you are interested. He is a very knowledgeable man who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given 6months to live, now he's living abroad and using CBD/THC (8 years later)🙏🏾 I hope you find your answers today, and I'm sure others will respond to this post as well. Love and blessings!🙏🏾

Thanks very much for this, I’m going to give it a try... I’m sick of using Cymbalta that barely works and just gives me bad side effects. I also live in Canada where it is legal so getting some is as easy as walking into a drug store!

Hi ninjananna,

Could you please send me your friends website details, how fantastic that he is still here 8 yrs later! I have been taking cbd capsules from Holland & Barrett & find that although they help, they are a bit pricey £34 for 60 capsules. Does he have capsules or just oil..it dosn't really matter if he dosn't as long as they help 😊

Hi there I would like your friends website details. I’m so tired of struggling I will try anything. Sounds like this would be a good way to go. I’ve had to stop all pain pills as they just don’t agree with me.

Oh could I have you're friends website please, I'm on one that isn't really doing anything.

I'm on oxycodone and morphine and would so badly want to come off them. I've been taking them for just over five years , I hate them knowing what they must be doing to my body and mental state

I would love to try you're oil you're taking , thankyou

Sorry to jump on post but I’ve been trying to source a cbd oil with thc together as I’ve read a lot about the benefits. I’ve already tried the cbd on its own with very little effect.

Please can you supply the contact you use? Many thanks x

My son gave me some he has used ( popular amongst athletes) it’s an oil of 500 mcg (or is it mg) potency with little dropper ...only taken 3 drops at bedtime for last 4 nights...no obvious side effects, and possibly sleeping better (once asleep)...so perhaps taking off a bit of pain. Early days, and had bought some LDN to try but not used due to ‘gift’.

Hi Tim,

I gave up smoking 3 yrs ago & I used smoke marijuana which helped make the pain more bearable, I have been taking cbd capsules for a couple of months now & although not as good as smoking marijuana ( which I miss lol) along side with my meds of pregabalin & clonazepam they do help to take the edge off, so I would recommend anyone with fibro or any nerve pain to give them a try.

Hope they help 😊

Hi Tim, I’ve been using CBD for over 3 years now and couldn’t manage without it. I came off Pregablin and Amitriptyline due to increasingly severe side effects. CBD is my main source of pain relief, although I take a little codeine, especially at night. It’s not magic, but it will make the pain more manageable. I still need to use other things such as a TENS machine, mindfulness, magnesium oil etc. I buy mine from Simply CBD, but can also recommend CBD Brothers and Cheds. I find Cheds balm useful for painful joints etc.

CBD doesn’t work for everyone and how it is used and stored is also important. I’ve produced an extensive help sheet, based on my experience and information gathered. It’s a free download, no email needed, no sales connections either. It also covers turmeric and curcumin as I’ve found that helpful too.

I've been o0n CBD oil for 16 months now and I can honestly say its the best thing I ever did. The report below is totally unbiased.I've no sales interests etc. I am a mod on the FB group CBD Users UK so I have alot of experience. Heres my CBD Journey;

I have had Fibromyalgia for 27 years and M.E for 22. I have Also had Panic Disorder since I was 12 and have had episodes of Depression.

I started my CBD journey for the pain mainly as it was uncontrolled on 160mg of SR Morphine, 450mg of Pre Gabilin, Pramipaxole for restless legs, arms and body and Duloxetine. Plus quick acting Morphine 10mg for breakthrough pain! The pain was so awful that I used to have 3 boiling hot baths a day to help the pain including one at 3-4am every single night without fail!! It could easily reduce me to tears.

.

I found benefits from the CBD oil almost immediately and began to reduce my Morphine under my G.P’s supervision. (The withdrawal was horrendous).

Using an oil with added CBDa has been vital for helping my pain releif. CBDa- Cannabidiolic acid, is the raw form of CBD before its heated and is excellent for Pain and Inflammation. After experimenting with different mixes I’ve found a 50:50 ratio of CBD: CBDa works best for me. My go to brand at the moment is CBD Life- I use the 1000mg as I’m now on 75mg a day. They do a starter Aqua oil at 1mg per drop.

I also learnt about adding a drop or two of CBG Cannabigerol) oil (From Leaf and Oil. co.uk) For the pain, anxiety and sleep.

For breakthrough pain I started vaping. I have used Cannavape Complete Grandaddy Purple which helps and is relaxing too. I sometimes use it if my anxiety is a bit high too. I now prefer Synergie Extracts Dab Pens which are much stronger and not for beginners

I’ve also found Hemp Tea really relaxing. If I dont feel relaxed at bed time I have a cup and along with the Nighttime paste and CBG drops it really helps.

My pain is much better controlled than it ever was on all the medications.

I have been able to reduce my Morphine by 100mg.I cant get of it totally yet but I’m ever hopeful. Stopped my Pre Gabilin and Pramipaxole. .All under G.P supervision of course!

Not CBD related but things that also help my Fibro, M.E,; Paleo/Ketogenic diet, following Dr Sarah Myhills supplement regime (Have a Google. She’s an M.E Expert) and an expensive but brilliant little machine called an Alpha Stim Microcurrent Machine.

CBD oil has been a revelation as far as I’m concerned!

I have Hemp oil....cannabis Sativa, and I don't know how to take it. It says it's cold pressed, and good for dry skin, and can be added to foods. How would I know if it's helping for pain that way? Sounds like it's just like olive oil. I'm guessing it's not CBD oil. I gave it to a friend who has shingles. Didn't help. Any comments? I may go to Bed Bath and Beyond and see what they have....CBD was in their ad. I guess they've figured out what's legal. My feet hurt so bad I can hardly walk. M.A. in USA.

Hi, I use a Simply CBD. They are the only company who tell you how to use it on the Simply CBD Users Support Group on FB. Start low and slow. They are reputable charity that helps dogs as well. They are not rip off artists and the costs are genuine and affordable starting at £14 + p&p upwards. I have been using for 6 months. I rarely use painkillers anymore. Used to use Tramadol and reducing my other meds.

Had Fibro and other probs for over 35 years and this is the best thing 8 have ever done.
