CBD OIL: hi everyone I have heared that... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
CBD OIL
From what I gather it is still not legal in the UK but you can buy it on the internet...my Dr. didn't want to know about it and I am a little nervous of buying on the internet as I would hate to get a bad lot if you know what I mean....Maybe someone else can help but I am sure it won't be long and it will be available legally here.
thanx trikki I'm a bit worried about buying some that's useless will have to see what ppl are recommending through there experience.
Trikki morning. CBD oil IS legal in the UK. Cannibis oil which contains THC is not. CBD oil( not to be confused with hemp oil) is bought from online shops.
Kane I have been using various forms of it for about a year now and find it helps with inflammation pain. Getting the dose right is trickier as now the suppliers are not allowed to give doseage information.

What's the difference between CBD oil and hemp oil?
Hemp oil is produced from the seeds of hemp plants and contains very little cbd. Less than 25 parts per million. It is used for its food values . CBD oil is from the flowers of cannibis plants that have been developed without THC ( the psychoactive ingredient that's makes you 'high'). CBD oil has about 15% cbd oil. It's for pain and inflammation and claims have been made about epilepsy relief. It is prescribed in UK for MS only. Let's just say taking hemp oil won't do much for my pain but CBD oil does help.

Hello kane0102 , I believe Holland and Barret are selling this, (obviously with the illegal chemical removed) and some people have had some success.
This was topic was mentioned yesterday, if you are able to scroll down to find the replies.
Also, if you look at Related Posts, next to your post on the right, you will see other people's experiences of CBD oil. You can find more about it too if you type CBD oil in the search box, top right. (You may need to turn your screen to landscape to access the search box)
I have heard it is quite expensive though.

Hi kane0102
It is now legal to buy CBD oil that has the THC content taken out of it.
It is very expensive at about £25 for a very small bottle.
You can buy it online and at Holland & Barratt.
The only way you will know if it works for you, unfortunately, would be for you to try it yourself.
I have recently started using Magnesium Spray oil which I bought in Holland & Barratt. It doesn't take my pain away but does take the edge off it.
Please let us know how you get on if you decide to try it.
Wishing you a peaceful weekend.

CBD oil is grown specifically for medical use from p,ants that are bred to have very tiny amounts ( therefore legal) of TCH in them. The oil in Holland and Barrett is , as far as I know hemp oil which has very little CBD oil in it. I am not 100% certain of this though as I always buy from an online source.

PS I thought we weren't allowed to mention specific shops or retailers but Holland And Barrett seems to be mentioned frequently without editing.
deejames do you no of any good online suppliers that I could try, as I'm not sure what I am buying, I got some off a online company but it was very thick with a earthy taste not nice at all.
many thanks kane0102
Kane CBD oil is not pleasant to take I am afraid. It has to be held under the tongue for 3 mins then swallowed. It helps me so I ignore the unpleasant taste and eat a grape or some banana after.
I get it from CBD Brothers, just search for the name. I use the Blue edition oil but there are stronger and more expensive ones available.
If you really don't like the taste try a medi pen which is cbd oil in a vape.
Do read the Information given on the CBD brothers Web site as it gives I fo on production methods and why it's advisable to avoid hemp oil due to the low quantities of cbd in the product.
Hope it works for you

hi deejames its the blue edition I have from cbd brothers, will try the vaping oil see if that's any better.
. many thanks Kane0102
hi bluemaremaid3 I will let you no how I get on with the CBD oil once it has been delivered and I give it some time to get in my system, mean while i will try the magnesium oil, i have tried the flakes in the bath and foot bath
Hi kane0102
I personally use the MediPen, which is a CBD inhalator that is quite legal and soon to be available on prescription. Again however, it is very pricey and starts at £50. I find it effective for my pain but if I use too much it does give me the most horrendous headaches. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi,
My experience and knowledge is as follows: I use CBD, THC & CBN oils - four drops of each at night - finally a good nights sleep right through the night. My supplier is very reputable - the oils are extracted by hot air. They say THC is for helping with the pain - one has to start with a few drops like two and slowly build up tolerance against the "high". CBN is the oil for sleeping well. CBD is for prevention of many diseases.
GiselaGross I thought THC was the part that was extracted from the cbd oil, as that's the banned part of the plant, and never heard of cbn oil, will have to look into it many thanks.
My GP didn't want to know either. NICE is king when it comes to treatment and prescriptions.
I tried what I could afford, (not the lowest strength) a tiny bottle. Relaxing. Slept better I think. Pain wasn't touched. Did I take enough? Was it strong enough?
There are various strengths and stronger would be better I think but sooo expensive. I gave up.
I saw the vape pen and wondered if it would be good? Sounds here like it could be. And soon for prescription? We need a fanfare when that happens!
I take a turmeric based supplement that takes the edge off. Take it first thing to get me going.
I'd love to try more different alternative treatments but expense is such an issue. I have my little clutch of essentials that I can't live without but they are just a part of the solution. I feel sure the answer is out there somewhere.
If you try the oil, do tell how you get on with the treatment. We all need to learn from each other.
