I use CBD oil, took me well over a year of trial and error to find a brand/dosage that helped me . Do your research, and be careful that you do not end up paying over the top for a low quality product as a lot of the people selling it are just jumping on the bandwagon to make money x

Shame it’s too late otherwise I could have got a PHD in cbd oil 🗣

Never tried CBD personally, but having read about the benefits on vitalityhealthcbd.com/ , I know for sure that if faced with any chronic condition, I would be highly motivated to find any alternative, including diet & exercise, chiropractics and massage therapy, counseling and support groups, and alternative medicines like CBD, before going on a long term prescription drug.

Hi. In that case, can you tell us the brand/strength and supplier of the CBD that you have found helpful, please?

It may help avoid some expensive mistakes! 🥀

I too use the brand mentioned the 5% one...but so far it hasn't helped my fibro but has helped with the over sensitivity in my toes and feet...they are still fairly painful but not as bad. I pop it in my coffee in the morning but also have the orange flavour spray I can use on the go which is much more pleasant on the go than the oil.

From looking at comments on this and other groups if you are going to try it go for a high percentage good quality oil. People report that lower percentage oils are of no benefit at all. Sadly the higher percentage oils tend to be expensive.

Hi 🍀☕

The best CBD Oil is from Grape Tree. 500mg 10ml bottle £35. Expensive but good and real and it helps whatever you have. Some people it doesn't help, but it helps me. Have a good Tuesday 🍀💐🙏

I have found that vaping CBD has really helped me, not so much with the pain but with muscle fatigue.

I would definitely recommend it, but as others have said it is trial and error and I use a lot of drops in mine so u have to increase to a level that suits u

Good luck x

Hi Zoonie, yes!! It's really a shame, a small 2-3% would really help us better!!👍😊

Hi Zoonie could you share where you buy from and the %? Its a shame we cant get prescriptions like America 😔Thankyou I'm looking into buying it hopefully will help to cut the dosage of oxycodone I take currently. Thanks again love and peace 💕✌🌈

Hi Becks.

Don’t bother, it’s all hype. For you to get any noticeable effect at all you would need to be able to buy the very very strongest strength made, which you can’t. If anyone tells you it actually really helps in any way is only experiencing the placebo effect. Of course, we all want so desperately to believe that there is something out there that will give us a little relief and unfortunately the entrepreneurs have latched on to this product. The things you read in the news where the likes of epilepsy sufferers are being helped with CBD , they are taking doses very much more potent than are commercially available. There is a wealth of information out there, type in ‘best CBD oil’ and choose the product that comes up number 1 and buy the strongest one available. It will cost you up to £300 for a tiny bottle that might last a few weeks , but buy it and try it. If it feels as if it’s helping then good, placebo effect or not! I’ve been there, done that and got the tee shirt.

in reply toPabba

From others I have known who have tried CBD Oil for their pain and anxiety it has actually worked. Therefore it was not a placebo effect for them and they swear by it

Thankyou Zoonie I'm on the case as we speak, hopefully get something that may help cut these oxycodone down! They can be brutal on your memory, aanility to write a coherent sentence (actually coherent words also🤣) ability to read without having to go back over the same line 4 or 5 times! At this point I will try anything, has taken me ages to write this reply had to go over every word, where is autocorrect when you actually need it🤪🙈I will let you know how I get on! Love and peace ✌💕🌈

I tell this oil works not only for me but for other with Fibromyalgia near my city . Person who was in wheelchair now is walking and working because of this oil. Others are much better with anxiety and pain as well.

I did try others cbd oils and for me did not work but I know for others works🙂.

Take care and have a nice day.

Believe it or not, Hemp Seed oil (rather than CBD oil) can help with FM too.

Firstly, it is high in Omega 3 Fatty Acids which research has shown to relieve (the symptoms of) inflammation in the joints that, although isn't always associated with FM, is one less (lower) pain to deal with.

Secondly, it increases the efficiency of CBD oil when you first start to take CBD. Amost like having the main meal to take you hunger away, followed by CBD as the treatful pud which you can take your time to enjoy!

I used to use CBD for pain relief/reduction, until I found other routes to that. Now, I mainly use CBD to reduce levels of anxiety and stress as I know these are a major link in my flare-up pain cycle.

I also tried out lots of CBD oils, looking for words such as 'broad spectrum' and 'terpenes'.... what seemed to coincide with the ones that worked best for me. Quality seemed to be a better indicator of effectiveness for me, than necessarily the claimed 'strength'.

I'm so pleased the misunderstanding about brand names has been clarified (Thank you, Admin!), so that Zoonie and others can share their findings with the group.

Good luck, Becks, along with warm and soothing hugs, dee x

P.S. You can get good quality Hemp Seed oil in capsules, the purer/darker green the better.

Personally, I prefer Biota organic hemp seed oil in a bottle, which I drizzle on salads, etc.

It's a bit of an acquired taste and NOT for cooking, but I've found it works really well alongside Turmeric with Black Pepper to reduce my aches.

Your information being given is exactly correct. Hemp seed oil and even Black seed is often fantastic for FM. One thing to consider especially for putting in food is to use Black Seed which is yet another component of Cannabis. Combined with various essential oils or standing alone Hemp Seed or Black Seed Oils make excellent alternatives.

If you desire more information on any of those products please let me know. I am here to help. God bless you. Praying you find relief.

Gooddaysagain profile image
Gooddaysagain in reply toPaintedMagnolia

Is the 'black seed' oil the same as the nyger seed I feed to 'my' goldfinches.

I have read some good things about it, but have so many oils on the go at the moment that it'll need to hold loads of benefits to take up more room (only joking!)

What's the greatest benefit to your own health that you can attribute directly to the Black Seed oil?

Thank you for your blessings,

in respect and friendship, dee x

Thank you for the 'like'.... it reminded me that I have a small bottle of the Black Seed oil. It is expensive... so, what's the best way to use it, a little at a time?

Huge hugs and many thanks, dx

Hi I use it. It doesnt take my pain away but when I do sleep I get a much more restful and longer sleep when I use it. I get mine from CBD brothers online.

PaintedMagnolia profile image

We are not allowed to make full medical claims though many of us through experience and research are very knowledgeable about the health benefits of CBD.

I can tell you that it is in print that you cannot over dose from CBD. It does not have the THC which is the component of cannabis which causes psychological changes and gets the "high" or altered effect.

Make sure no matter where you get your CBD thay it is Full Spectrum or it is not going to be working for you as well. Also check labels before buying to make sure there are no added products unless you're getting some that combined with various essential oils that gives best results for your illness and symptoms.

If you or anyone here would like to have more information and sometimes need to know how to get CBD or which products are going to greatly improve your situation or symptoms.

Definitely do your research, look at the lab reports to make sure. There is lots of info on a Facebook Group called CBD Users UK. There is always someone who has similar problems. They are not allowed to advertise but still very informative.

You have to start low and build up to find the appropriate for you.

PaintedMagnolia profile image
PaintedMagnolia in reply toManaus

If you would like to have specific information for exactly what your symptoms are and how useful CBD is, I will be more than happy to help you

I am in the USA however I also have numerous autoimmune disorders that are better with CBD.

And, we are allowed to advertise, however I do not want to violate any rules or standards here in our community though I am genuinely concerned and able to help with information and products. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

PaintedMagnolia profile image

Full Spectrum CBD should be much stronger than what you mention and if anyone isn't sure,it is 100% safe and you cannot overdose on CBD.

If you desire more information please let me know. They didnt call this a miracle working medicine for no reason. Pray you find what you're looking for.

didn't help me tried all sorts nothing helps 2😥

Gooddaysagain profile image
Gooddaysagain in reply toAlfieG21

Oh Alfie! I am SO sorry that you have found nothing that helps you.

I hope this doesn't sound as if I'm trying to teach you something you probably already know, but...as it helped me...... here goes:

There is research to show that -

- the more you find out about what causes your pain, the more in control of your pain you feel,

- the more in control you feel the less stressed you become about that pain

- the less stressed you become, the less your body sends the signals that tell your brain "you are about to do something that'll cause you more pain" (or exhaustion)

- in response to those neural messages, your brain tells your body to give you a taste of that potential pain in the hope it'll stop you, or slow you down. It IS real pain - you're feeling it - but it's not easily the sort of pain most painkillers can reach.

The research article I found most useful is at (sorry, I can't do links yet... )

archives-pmr.org/article/S0003-9993(11)00670-8/fulltext

(it's free, you don't have to sign up for anything and no-one tries to sell you anything..... simply information worth having).

No one has found the cause of FM yet, but there's a lot you can do to fight back against some of the 'nasties' it deals out to us; which may be due to your being:

- over-stressed (emotionally and/or physically),

- over-using bits of your body that are, or have been, hurt (now - i.e. acutely, or in the past - i.e. chronic/recurring),

- getting too cold or too tired

- driving for too long

- repeating small activities that require pressure

- taking on tasks that are too heavy or too big (for who we are now...)

- short of good, restful sleep

- short of necessary nutrients (either because you can't afford to eat them, or because your body can't digest or metabolise them through having a leaky gut, etc.)

Tick off from this list all those that apply to you, add your own if necessary, then have a go at shortening the list - one by one - enlisting all the help you can.

I'm assuming that, as well as trying pharma meds, CBD oil and other 'supplements', you haven't found your place of peace yet. I hope that, by taking back the bits of your life and your body that YOU CAN control, you will get nearer to it.

Hugs, dee x

Gooddaysagain in reply toAlfieG21

The research paper I was referring to is called "The effect of Neuroscience Education on pain.... " etc.

I found it by accident while Googling for research on the 'other' NE (i.e. Norepinephrine - noradrenalin) whilst coming off Duloxetine, a nociceptive pain inhibitor that works by allowing the body/brain improved access to Serotonin and Noradrenalin (old name, but habitual). I wanted to know how the med worked, so that I could watch out for the impact on my body and its FM symptoms once I'd withdrawn from it.

It's a bit of a slog to read, but worth it if it sparks your interest in finding out more about what's making you feel so carp and/or gives you any idea of what might help.

Good luck with that, (and please tell me to go away if this isn't helping!)
