So does anyone else find that if you bang your skin or bone the pain continues on for way longer than it should?

Hi, Yes! Ever since I started with fibro... I've noticed that anything painful is not only more so but lasts up to three times longer than it used to. A typical example is injections at the dentist. They were always unpleasant but manageable. Now they are excrutiating and very distressing and the pain is still there long after the needle is removed. Dread the dentist now.

I have sedation almost as soon as I walk through the door! Dental phobia, I have been known to walk in, walk out the back door and get back in the car so now a dental visit is a team event with the receptionist guarding the doors, husband holding the car keys, the nurse distracting me while the dentist jabs me. Phewww

I normally have rub on gel for back thighs etc during the day . When I stop to rest my hottie, wheat bag , Always a epsom salts bath every night they do some nice smells now lavender is one of my favs. Try and stretch out before I get out of bed in mornings helps, l I do have codiene from doc but tends to wear off fairly quickly and he says don’t use it all the time which I don’t. Well the heatings just been putvoff a few degrees warmer now, but no Sun, il pm you what I use xx

Oh, definitely! It seem that Fibro makes us supersensitive to this, even stroking firmly down the long bones is painful and the persistence of the pain is uncomfortable, even an hour later!

in reply toCakeygirl

Hi

I suffer with heat control, I sweat buckets even in winter!!, Dr referred me to a dermatologist who gave me a roll on to put on my forehead at nice, well it's neither use nor ornament!! I'm waiting for another appointment now. He told me the next stage would be tablets with horrible side effects!! Fantastic!!! How are you all doing tonight? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Morning feisty,

I’m ok thanks but taking it easy today after a busy few days.

According to my neurologist, I have over sensitivity of the brain caused by prolonged stress and pain signals.

He said that I must re-educate my brain👍

but didn’t tell me how!!??

Amazing how some people can be so brilliant on the one hand and thoroughly clueless on the other!!!

Happy Bank Holiday

Jan xx

Haha of only we could retrain our brains 😁😁lol ,I would become a doctor as sometimes me know more than them!! What triggered your stress that high? Glad you have been getting out .x
