I decided to write a care report for myself!. I have a care background from carer to manager. For the life of me the task seem high as I'm feeling I'm a fraud and with all my fybro symptoms and recovering from a major shoulder surgery on my predominant side, where do I start!. I feel everything is a battle.😣

Hi Tasha1963,

Its a very good idea, and with your background achievements. Take your time, as it's not easy, it seems like a hugh task, but once you get going, it will be so easy, sometimes with the mind playing up it feels like a great struggle.

Firstly start making rough notes, on how you think everything started. You have to be grateful that you have all this on your mind to activate and put on paper. Take a day at a time, don't rush, be positive and kind to yourself. You will feel better, once it's out of your system. Take care, good luck. Big gentle hugs. πŸ˜‡

Thank you! I know your so right. I was diagnosed with fybro 20 years ago but despite all the pain and fog I held down fulltime work. I've been really struggling so came down the order into complex care. Over 18 months has been really bad ending in me having a fall at work and fracturing my proximinal has right shoulder. Had surgery December 18. Fixation with plates and screws still have pain...not recovering as consultant wants..on going small infection in the scar since February. I'm no where near able to do the same work again and the Fybro is really bad. I could write a book and it's so frustrating when the fog clouds everything. Proffessionals just don't get it. The last Gp I saw recently after me explaining how I'll I feel and concerns about mobility stated (well you can clearly manage as you have done for 20 years). I have had to manage as another long story I was the bread winner. Thanks for your kindness just needed to vent 😠

Maybe it would be a good idea to request all your records from the surgery from when you were first diagnosed so you can check the tests carried out and check those inadvertently omitted ... It will give you a timeline and you can write on each sheet the pills or supplements you were taking and more importantly how you were feeling at that time.

You are legally entitled to have copies of all your test results - its a good way of monitoring your progress. Surgeries should now have records on-line so worth asking at your surgery. Take some ID if you go along ...

Fibro is diagnosed by excluding all other possibilities - so important to check vitamins and minerals have been tested - inflammation markers - and also the correct thyroid testing to include the FT3 - the most important and ACTIVE thyroid hormone ... Am sure all of that would have happened - but it would be good to see the actual results :-)

You are not a fraud ...
