So not happy, everything hurts

I was feeling OK-ish this morning, nice man took my car to have its ITV (Spanish equivalent of UK MOT); failed - emissions!! Not good as I had spent €850 same time last year on new catalytic converter and sensors for same failure reason.

This afternoon, dog and I went to vets for her annual injections to keep doggie passport up-to-date (€250) so I am feeling skint

Straight after, she and I went to garage where last year's work was done to complain and politely suggest any work this year should be done under guarantee as less than one year since last they did it, only catalytic converter under warranty, everything else including labour not so. I came away seething. Car booked in for 'repairs' but not till after Easter as next week has a long bank holiday when nothing but bars and petrol stations open.

Now - every joint hurts, skin feels like I have entered a wasps' nest - pins & needles, prickly / stinging sensation all over, internal thermometer has gone haywire - varies quickly between hot and cold, calves have cramped up, neck muscles tightened up, headache on its way, I cannot get comfy anywhere in any position

Why do silly things set it off?

Rant over but thank you for allowing me to left off steam. Now I shall have a hot bath and try going to bed early

Ann

Thank you, you too. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

What a rubbish day. It's annoying the way stress makes physical health so much worse. I hope you feel a bit better after your bath x

Hello there I bet you are skint , gosh that’s a lot all together, same old story I rang my insurance the other day only to find out all the food not covered on a breakdown in fridge always a answer for everything and by the time I added up the contents of freezer was not worth claiming as 50 access, good to have a moan and I hope you slept okay. Very cold here in the East brrrrr fed up off the cold , that’s my moan for the day x

payments spread over 12 months but, yes, skint now

ruddy DVR for camera security system has died now to add to my woes, 1 month past its warranty date

just waiting for number 3 bit of expensive bad luck!!!

slept for 4 hours, awake for 3, snoozed for 1/2 hour before alarm went off

sorry it's cold where you are but it's 18°C and sunny here and I'm stuck indoors working to earn money to pay the bills

Take care

waiting to watch Canaries hopefully do better .v. Wigan than they did against Reading on Wed.

Sorry about Tractor Boys dropping down

'Twas a bad night last night, chest and back pains, I wish I could stop imagining heart problems and remember it's more external than internal pain (muscle and nerve not organ)

Ah well, life is what it is

Doesn’t everything happen at once?

Sorry hon.

Did the garage agree to a more comprehensive warranty this time for you? I hope so.

Hopefully you had a lovely bath and a decent sleep and things don’t seem so bad today.

Take care

Hi Jan

no, it's just their 'rules'; I guess things are different here in Spain

I think I did very well to express my displeasure in Spanish yesterday but I could not persuade them to be more receptive

Ah well, I just need my car as I live out in the sticks, no shops etc within 10km

Hi oldwomaninpain, I am reading this in bath now as feeling exactly the same, pain levels through the roof, no idea why. I am finding it so exhausting I have no idea what to do with myself at moment.

oldwomaninpain in reply toShazzzy

warm bath did help some as did a few hours kip

still feel wimbly today

something must trigger my flares, be it over-exertion or stress, yesterday I had both

but I so hate the 'what can I do, where do I put myself' feeling, normally I can distract myself to some extent with work (sofa based, online) or playing online Scrabble with my son in Canada, but not yesterday

Bah Humbug is all I can say

I hate this fibro thing - it jumps out and gets you when you're not looking, doesn't even say Boo when it does that

look after yourself

It’s a furtive monster isn’t it? But we all know that the combination of stress and added activity is a bomb shell.

Try to rest and gather your strength.

Your car is now fixed and safe, so you can get out and about when you need to.

Enjoy the Spanish sunshine and keep strong.
