Having a really bad time. Does anyone else have the chronic neurologic type pain but only down left side. Feel like head is about to explode and also had really bad migraine type pain last two weeks. It extends from head, down left side neck ( painful and feel glands are up but doc says not) terrible pain left sided shoulder and shoulder blade area all down left side. Really bad above waist level as tho coming thro from stomach. Constant nausea, constipation and lower pelvic pain (right side) plus lower back/hip pain and weakness. Convinced something else is seriously wrong but cannot get past fibro diagnosis with doc. Think she's at a loss as I can't tolerate medication. The only medication i take now is levothyroxine and occasional painkillers at night when i am desperate. Thought at one time it was all linked to hypothyroidism but doc says not. Only thing that helps at all is a really hot water bottle. Pain medication doesn't touch it. Tried wellbeing classes, , acupuncture, massage, hypnotherapy, all with no success. Problems started 35+ years ago but last two years have got much worse. Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.

Really feeling for you so many symptoms going on , could you get a different doctor for a 2nd opinion, I can see you have tried massage etc gets so you run out of ideas, wouldn’t be without my hot water bottles, mine was out again last night, I find if the weather warms up does help me to lay outside for 15mins on a lounger soak up some vitamin d , but weather here has been cold again, just wanting the temperatures to warm up again. My body differently does not like the Winter months, they seem to drag on for so long. I don’t like too much in the way of pain killers as they make it hard to go to the toilet and stomach feels queasy at times.when I’m struggling I do not go out of the door and stop for lots of mini rest periods to get me through the day, Sorry I have not been much help but I think we need someone to talk too when we are struggling xx
Hi, although my pain generally all over, there are times when it can be worse in one area than others. But if you feel it is not fibro pain then persist with your GP. Is there another gp in the practice you can see? Xxx
I’ve had the head feels like it’s about to explode feeling for a few weeks. Glands feel as though they should be up but I don’t think they are. The pollen count is extremely high this year from tree pollen—- it could be that. Try steaming your face, and keep the air as moist as possible. If you can get an electric air filter run that in one room at a time.
Ask to be sent to orthopedic Dr they'll get to bottom of it,left side hip&leg pain for me was spasticity look it up there is one very short video of someone trying to walk with it as it starts on you tube, you could do a video to show the drs,my pain is like its a dead weight but like all the nerve s are alive &raw and wriggling &being strangled,.

Hi. I had many of those symptoms last year: bouts of upper right Andi pain, pain in left shoulder blade and up neck to left side of head. Also started to itch in weird places, esp goes at night. Turned out to be chronic infection of the gallbladder
Knew I had lots stones (been told during ultrasound years before) but because it didn't give me adverse affects after eating the symptoms weren't connected together by GPS etc. Eventually ended up in hosp with severe gallbladder inflammation and had it taken out 9 months ago. Straight after open all headaches neck and shoulder pain and chronic fatigue cleared! Go back and ask your GP if they could check out upper abdomen region incase problem there. Apparently nerve pathways run from there to between shoulder blades and up back of neck.c
Sorry youre feeling down and suffering..I take my levothyroxine first thing in the morning as soon as i wake up. I then have to wait 30 mins without any caffine or any other tablets,, as i only seem to have mild fibromyalgia, i lay there for 30 mins and read a book, then take rest of the meds. then wait till i feel like moving, 15 to 20 mins does the trick usually but it depends on how the aches and pains are. if theyre bad, i usually struggle to the shower for a hot shower. Im fortunate to have a hot tub, n i go in this every night for 20 mins or so just before bed, usually with a vino and amatryriptinine. that combo seems to do the trick..
