I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for last few years and for last two months hae have constant pain on left side of my head face and neck gp tried tried all the available migraines medication.
I was wondering if this pain can be connected with my fibromyalgia? Is any one have the same issue?
Which can I ask my gp or health professionals for help if that migraine medication is not working?
Thank you all

Could it be coming from your neck, spine? Obviously I'm stabbing in the dark and your GP is your best bet but I've added a link anyway. Hope you get something soon though must be awful having this for months
Hi i have suffered for fybro for years and then i was have flare ups on the side of my face and between the ear and back of my neck, thought it might be my fybro ! But after many weeks of these flare ups and the pain is incredible, i was reffered to specialist and was diagnosed with occipital neuralgia hope you feel better soon x
I'm surprised they haven't referred you already, as far as I know you should be able to get a referral after you've tried at least 3 meds. The specialist can give you access to other things the GP can't give you.
Good luck, you definitely should be with a specialist you've been patient enough. 15 medications more than qualifies you. If the GP is obstruction write a letter/email asking for a referral, you can write to the practice manager, they aren't allowed to ignore letters, it can be a very effective way to get a referral.
Hi it might be hemicrania continua rather than migraine with it being completely one sided. I have this headache condition and chronic migraine. Might be worth having a google of it as the treatment is different.
Thank you for your comment. I will definitely google this condition. It might be because migraines use just effect my head now it’s neck face ear completely half sided nothing on right side of my head.
hi, do you clench or grind your teeth. I wake most mornings with with pain in my head sometimes the pain is just like migraine pain which i suffer with too
Hi sweetie Miuroo🤗.About 3 years ago I had the same symptoms.
I was sent to hospital for oh god brain fog. . It's the same as being pregnant and they put gel on her tummy and use hand held device to check all is ok.
I had this done to check my arteries in my neck behind my ear.
I had constant pain to half head face and neck.
I was ok.
I humbly apologise for still not remembering the word needed🤔😣.
