Hi

I always have a very dry mouth but I also perspire profusely which doesn't help. I'm seeing a dermatologist about the sweating at present. Take care Lynne

I’m not in the know, but it could be something to do with your saliva glands not functioning as they should, bearing in mind you have ruled out tablets. So just an outside thought, could you find a chart online to see where they are situated and gently massage them from the outside. I have heard of this being done before.

Could actually be the antibiotics giving you the white tongue via Thrush.

I'm prone to it if I have more than one course, or they are stronger than usual.

Worth checking ?

Have you been tested for candida? You could have it throughout your digestive system. Nystatin gets rid of it. If it doesn't clear it up try changing your diet.

You can get some drops for your eyes called Hypromellose 0.3% eye drops which it says on the box “soothes Dry eye sensations” I find they are good & always have some in ready when needed.

Hi,

I tend to get oral thrush regularly due to being diabetic but I also have to use corsodyl mouthwash and toothpaste gel from the dentist. I have been able to keep it at bay with these two. The dry mouth I used to get as a side effect from the amitriptyline and have stopped taking that now. Hope that helps.

Two years ago I had constant dry mouth and sore tongue. Finally got sent to Oral Medicine specialist in Dental hospital. He diagnosed Burnt Mouth Syndrome. Put me on Nortriptyline and cleared dry mouth in about 4 months. May be worth mentioning to your GP to see if they can check if that’s what’s wrong?

I suffered for long time fibro/heart disease on b.p/chol meds statins age 41. Changed my diet last year Vege/brown rice pasta & rice based foods (Sainsbury's free from) spice up with herbs/seasonings/spices good for ur conditions like turmeric good for arthritis etc try incorp to ur diet. Also take Ubiquinol Co-q10 300mg which ppl can request from GPS as pretty exp! Also started buying alkaline water filters for Brita jug, acerola cherry powder amazing pure vit c/electrolytes great for dehydration/dry mouth/eyes etc. Started using cacao powder which is full of vits mins calcium/magn iron fibre too add to smoothies cereal hot green tea or whatever u drink hot soya/almond milk really easy so nutriscous all bought on Amazon. Maybe request referral from gp for thyroid testing or immune disorders. Good luck!

Soz if sinuss' ok try dentist suffered years with nose sores on antibiotics for sinusitis on/off for urs ruined my stomach! way before on current meds or diagnoses's. So fed up changed my dentist who didn't x-ray gums I was 100% had infection. New dentist took x-rays imm and turns out had mass infection in gum. Front tooth capped since teenager an never got x-ray or checked over urs so lost front tooth & infection! But I diag with fibro 2 yrs ago & mild heart disease but had iron def aneimia since 14yrs old. Rheumatoid arthritis ride in my fam and can cause heart probs etc but looking back I've had all these symptoms since late teens even nose sores, which I looked up and can be symptom of lupus?! I might see if can get referred for lupus testing as I heard a lot of women diagnosed 2yrs ago with lupus when I got diagnosed with fibro/heart disease. Good luck! Soz so long writing this down helps me remember my medical history & family medical history which is very useful when struggling with different conditions and going through diagnosis process it's a battle! Good luck!
