Butec patch 5

Has anyone had any side effects from these patches. I’ve just been prescribed Butec 5 and not quite sure how these patches will affect me.

HI, I have been on the patches for a few years now. I do suffer from severe itchiness from the patch adhesive which leaves a red square on my arm for about a week. I am on the 10mgs patches now (increased from 5mgs) and don't suffer any issues from them aside from constipation sometimes.

When I first started on the 5’s they made me a bit dizzy for a few days. Now on 20 but still in pain. Not sure what to do about them. Good luck x

Waste of time. Went from 5's to 20's & just got added constipation. What little effect they have pain wise doesn't last long

I tried Butrans patch 2 yrs. ago and still needed Norco so gave up on the patch. I don't remember side effects. Maybe I didn't give it enough time and was fearful of letting go of Norco. I'm pres. 4 a day of 10/325 but get by on 3. Sometimes just add an OTC tylenol at night.

Has anyone weaned themselves off of an opioid. I've been on them for 15 years....started with Vicoprophen which was better but bothered my IBS due to the Motrin in it. I also take Cymbalta which is for Fibro and Dep. but never felt that it helped pain. Now I think it's not helping Dep. but once again I fear going off of it or switching to another. Have a good day. I have been on BuTec 5 for Peripheral neuropathy and it helps the burning pain,but it’s not for normal aches and pain like headaches and the the likes,I add paracetamol occasionally for those.

have been on the 15 and been upgraded to 20, the only problem I had was itching but the doctor advised me to remove the cover prior to putting it on and let it stand for a half hour. I've done that and get hardly any itching now.
