Has anyone managed to get a blue badge with fibromyalgia, I have had this years along with being bipolar depression and diabetes, arthritis

Hi Emmalene, Yes I have a blue badge but it is not the label of whatever condition you have that will decide whether or not you get the badge it is how that condition affects your mobility. I filled in the form sent by my local authority and was called for an assessment with an OH assessor and a few days later the badge arrived in the post.

Hi Emm, I agree with Dinkie, it’s not the diagnosis but how it affects you that determines if you get a blue badge

I got one after being assessed and the lady asked me how I go out and about and I told her I didn’t go out much because I couldn’t walk far. She was very easy to talk to. The badge has helped me enormously.

Hi Emmalene. I've got a blue badge.You can get one if your get either component of Mobility on PIP or higher rate on DLA. Or as Dinky says

Yes I too have one, after having an assessment, they do help so much.

Each rea is different , in Staffordshire im on my 2nd blue badge and have never been called for a medical like some other area's insist on
