Just make sure that it’s not any of your medications that give you insomnia as a side affect. I used to struggle so much with insomnia until I discovered that my tramadol would keep me awake. If I would take a dose in the evening I would be wide awake until 5 AM. Now I take my last dose at 2pm and struggle with more pain but at least I can nod off at a decent hour.
Hope you find a solution for your insomnia. Don’t give up
I sleep badly, waking every hr and half to 2 hrs. I often used to feel like I was dozing not sleeping, but since using CBD and CBG oils with added relaxing Terpenes I've slept better. Still wake up every few hrs but its a deeper sleep. I'm a member of Audible and they have some free relaxation tapes which I listen to or I listen to an Audio book to help me nod off.
Sleep restriction is something that people with M.E are now being advised to ignore and just go with the flow. If your body needs you to sleep then do it. Personally I try and stay awake during the day if I can as it does impact on my night time sleep-but if I cant stay awake I just let my body do what it wants. Its not as if I have to be up for work the next morning!
I was told not to have a TV in the bedroom-but when you spend most of your day on the bed and even if you can get up and go downstairs toe at dinner at night,a re back in bed by 8pm, then not watching TV in bed is impractical. Though I've found going on Twitter, FB etc too stimulating and it gets me wound up and cross so I Avoid it after the afternoon
