Here I am again with yet another set of moans and groans just seems never ending! Have my birthday at weeekend and maybe overdone my usual routine but now have most ridiculous back pain! Lower back pain just not going away, the only way I can describe is like it’s almost like period ache if you know what I mean. Been a whilst since I had that pain as had hysterectomy 11 years ago. Got full day of work ahead and already stressing on how I will cope as nothing is helping. Is this normal for fibro and does anyone have any miracle tips?
I’m a natural worrier and always think worst about everything. Although my go diagnosed me with fibro last year after suffering for moths with pain it’s always in the back of my mind they have missed something. Had the usual million blood tests back X-ray and all clear. So sorry for going on but my oooe husband but be sick if my moaning and just needed to talk to someone who understands what I mean xx

It's so easy to overdo things but then again we need to have a life. I have always said I need to live not just exist so do occasionally overdo things because it is worth the payback. With your back pain have you tried biofreeze gel. My chiropractor uses this on me after a treatment and it does really help with the general pain, another good relief is epsom salts in the bath. If you can get into the bath have a long soak in epsom salts. It helps with muscle pain. Back pain is very debilitating, I suffer frequently and use a tens machine to help together with the wheatbags you put in the microwave. You are fortunate to have been diagnosed so quickly as many on here wait years and in my case decades to get a formal diagnosis. Might be worth asking your GP for a referral to the pain clinic to help you.
Awh thanks for response I will give them both a try I’m up for anything rather than this pain! I had seen a few drs over a period of 6 months that checked for gallstones kidney stones, urine/kidney infections, back X-ray and bloods every 2 weeks but all clear. The pain then
Moved from my back and started in legs and arms. I finally saw an amazing gp who said that as all tests proved ok he was diagnosing fibro, was so relived as thought I was going mad. Stared on amitriptyline and just upped tables a few things and all been going well. Now I’m completely exhausted stuttering my words out along with this back pain. Just praying it settles down again. X
yes I struggle getting words out too sometimes. My colleagues now just laugh and join in. It's the way I cope - I use humour. I said to my colleagues I was going to a wedding when I meant I was going to lunch! They just laughed and said they didn't think much of my wedding outfit! If you get embarrassed by it, it will just get worse and to be honest if you make a fool of yourself in front of strangers does it matter - probably not because you will never meet them again. No point worrying about things you can't change is my motto. I'm sure things will improve for you.
I can sympathize as I have had this since having fibro it is a horrible nagging type of pain which can be very debilitating as you are conscious of it every time you move and even sitting still it is always there in the background. Trying to get a comfortable sitting or sleeping position is nigh on impossible, always worse when I haven't let myself rest enough.
I agree with Dinkie Biofreeze gel and a soak in Epsom salts can really help. Hope it eases for you very soon.x
