Yes I definitely have good and bad days/nights but have been sleeping a bit better since I started on Amitriptyline 20mg. Do you take anything to help you sleep?
Hi Chorley, I don't get a good nights sleep if I forget to take my tablets but if and when I remember them, I seem to sleep through. I can't go to bed if they aren't 'settled down'. You're on Ropinirole aren't you? It took ages to get the dose right with me but I take 2 at 1pm and another 2 at 5pm and another two alongside the Gabapentin at night. My Ropinirole are 0.5mg. They worked for a while but then I was put on the Gaba too and for the time being, they work.
Can you ask your doctor to see about upping the dose again or referring you to a sleep clinic like mine did?
Hi Sue, I am due to go back and see my doctor on Monday and revise my pain relief etc. I am currently taking Tramacet throughout the day for pain relief. I also take 20 mg Amitriptyline in the evening but I still have constant pain and tiredness. Is the Ropinirole for pain relief?
My 20 mg of Amitriptyline doesnt seem a lot compared to your 150 mg. Did you start of on a lower dosage? I also take Citalopram 10mg as an antidepressant would this be why I am on a low dosage of Ami?
I started on 50mg, and have had to put it up as i think your body gets used to it.
I was given prozac on 20mg while i was taking amis, so i think you can mix them.
When i look back though i waited until i could barely move before getting anything from the doctor as it took them about 4 years to even get to fibro dx, so i was quite bad.

Hi, yes i was started off on 25mg and have only just this week got to 150mg, i hope this dosage will be enough but i have been told it depends on the individual on what dosage will work
I was trying to read about Ropinirole on google this afternoon but was working so didn't get the chance. I've read up about it before but of course I've forgotten what it said now I have it for restless leg syndrome. It certainly stops my legs from jerking around and that awful crawling feeling in them.
Hi Dinky, yes i am taking 100mg of tramadol 3 times per day and 150mg of pregabalin 2 times per day, i was on amitriptyline for a while but found the did nothing for me..
Pregabalin (trade name Lyrica) an anticonvulsant drug was originally used for neuropathic pain and as an adjunct therapy for partial seizures. It was designed as a more potent successor to gabapentin. Recent studies have shown that pregabalin is effective at treating chronic pain in disorders such as fibromyalgia
Dinky, as far as my GP told me pregabalin is used to help with epilepsy so they use it to help people who suffer with RLS aswel, i can only tell you what i have been told, i am sure you will be able to find more info on the web or maybe somebody will know more and add to the blog.
I can't remember the last decent, undisturbed full nights sleep I had, it's been soooo long! For me, it's the pain in my shoulders, arms, neck and lower back that wakes me frequently through the night. Even when I go back to bed during the day, I still don't sleep soundly.
Although my G.P. has me on a cocktail of tablets which don't really work effectively for me, he refuses to change them until I've been back to the Pain Clinic. The Pain Clinic insist that my G.P. should be my first point of call and he should be managing my pain! They say they will only advise my G.P. on what tablets to put me on once they've seen me anyway. I feel like I'm in a loose - loose situation!
Nah i dont mind the drums at all especially now i have bought silencer pads for the kit, i used to be a solo vocalist and i was also a sound engineer for a heavy rock band, i was brought up on rock so i am used to VERY loud music LOL
