Hi there, nice to meet you :) I am sorry this is a support group. No one on here is medically trained to give any kind of diagnoses. But has it is now cleared up obviously it was nothing too serious. Its clear your GP gave you the correct treatment.

If it returns may I suggest your doctor would be the person to ask xx

i get loads of tongue ulcers and find bonjela gets rid.

Hi Hedzila

I'm afraid as none of us are medically trained we cannot help you with your query. You need to either speak with your GP or out of hours ring 111 for advice if concerned about it. If it's improving with treatment though maybe give it a couple of days and it may have gone and then you need not worry.

Just out of interest, do you live with the condition Fibromyalgia as this community is for people with this condition rather than a general health condition. It might be worth you looking for a community that is more related to this problem if you are solely looking for advice on this :)

I hope it continues to improve and the GP can assure you

All the best

Emma :)

Hi, I don't know if you've seen your dentist but when I have anything wrong with my mouth outside and inside I go to the dentist it's not just for your teeth but the whole of your mouth but as was said earlier if the medication your doctor gave you is helping you hopefully it's something minor xx

As we are not medically trained here, only your GP will be able to tell you what it is. If you're still worried go back and speak with your GP, who will be able to reassure you x

You might want to ask your doctor to do some bloodwork for viruses like cocksackie, epstein bar, citomeglavirus, roseola.

We all have been exposed to viruses that lay dormant, maybe some of your are reactivated. Good luck and i hope you feel better.

Hi, it wouldn't do any harm to gargle with warm salt water as this will cleanse all the mouth. Dont make it too salty or it could make you sick. Normally for bathing eyes I use a teaspoon of salt to a pint of cooled boiled water but you could use more for a mouthwash. My husband had a fairly large lump under his tongue many years ago and if I remember hospital Dr advised it was a blocked duct which eventually went away. Good luck
