mouth
well i dunno but this past year ive had nothing but mouth uclers most of the time, uclers everywhere, they take ages to heal,
i have weird pain on and off and the fear i have of dentist doesnt help.
im always rinsing with oraldene .if i eat anything crusy or hard my mouth just starts again and i have all my own teeth at mo.
im finding even having spots are taking a while to heal but before they didnt.
Hi Amanda, I believe it does I have always suffered with uclers even on my tongue, sore gums and lips. I visited my dentist who told me my teeth were lovely and clean with no probs, so yes it seems its just another part of Fibro. Sammy try TCP with cotton bud seems to help ulcers heal better hugs Ingrid xx
I have always been plagued by ulcers. For me it usually signals a vitamin or iron deficiency. However lots of causes - perhaps this link will have the answer for you. I hope so. nhs.uk/Conditions/Mouth-ulc...
Some people with Fibro get more mouth ulcers, have swallowing problems, dry mouths etc. It's not at all uncommon. I myself have swallowing issues at times especially first thing in the morning, it's difficult to swallow solid food, so I wait a while before I have some soft cereal after a nice warm cuppa.
Here's some info about our members having swallowing problems that we've discussed earlier in our forum -
Hi amanda, i think it does as ive had recurring mouth ulcers for some time now, i also get a lot of facial pain(round the jaw area) and i kept going to the dentist with it- they would say it wasnt my teeth, then i go to my gp to get my ears checked as the pain would radiate up to my ears- there id be told my ears were fine! Then i mentioned this pain to my new dentist and told them about fibromyalgia and she told me to tell my gp she had recommended he prescribe me carbamazepine and at last the pain is now under control. Fibro can affect virtually anywhere- ive even had problems at the back of my eye due to fibro xx
Yes I get sore jaws quite often, at one time it was about 3pm every day. This is the Sceleroderma, its nothing to do with teeth or ears. I found chewing gum helps.
