Consider discussing Sjögren's syndrome nhs.uk/Conditions/Sjogrens-... with your doctor if this is familiar.

Yes I have that I think it is to do with some of my meds so I always carry something like a boiled sweet or throat lozenger with me and it really helps especially if the flavour is tangy as it seems to get the saliva going. Hope you can find a solution.x

I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I have a spray on prescription that you spray into your mouth whenever it gets too dry, it is called Glandosane Artificial Saliva Spray

All my hopes and dreams for you

I suffer badly with that. It's a side effect of some of my meds, Tramadol being one of the culprits. Speaking in the morning is difficult as my mouth gets dryer by the word lol. Chewing gum is a big help. I carry mints everywhere.

The biggest problem with a dry mouth is that if affects your teeth. Your dentist can explain more.

Happy lip wetting 🐸

Drink lots of water during the day and there are mouthwashes you can use before bed. It comes and goes for me. I use tons of lip balm because my lips get sore and keep a cup of water with a lid that has a small opening( so I don't knock the whole thing over) next to my bed at night. A friend recommended Ricola cough drops- as she had dry mouth. I tried them but I find cheap lemon drops work as well

Hi Zita, my dry mouth and tongue are the worse in the morning. Tongue actually feels like it is stuck to the roof of my mouth. During the day and evening it is still dry but not as bad. My dentist has recommended swishing my mouth with Biotene. It also comes in a spray. My meds are causing it. And yes, it is destroying my teeth :(

Hi

I suffer this due to my meds. My Dr prescribes me Salivix pastilles a box of 50. You can buy them over the counter for just over six pounds but they have lots of E numbers.

My hubby likes any sour sweets as they seem to produce saliva and we try and drink as much water as possible.

Hope that helps.

Scotty.
