Don't know of a cure I'm not a Dr. I have restless leg syndrome and it. Does sound like what my used to do plus a tingling and you feel like you have move your legs and it's constant every night. Nothing seems to help not bath heating or massage. I finally went to Dr he said I have restless leg syndrome. He gave me a pill take at bed time it's called. Miripex and it really works. I haven't had a problem with legs for quite awhile. So like I said you could restless leg. It was miserable couldn't sleep because I was constantly moving them trying to get It to stop but it wouldn't. Miripex worked great. Love susiejo1948

You would be best speaking to your GP, as there could be any number of reasons for this.

Yes, I do. It is to do with me having functional neurological disorder.

My legs tremble so much that I am using crutches at the moment to walk. But when sitting they are pretty still. That is when my muscles seem to spasm slightly or twitch randomly. My muscles also feel very tight.

I also have it in my right wrist a little bit. My hand feels shaky and in certain positions it will tremble more and more.

Fnd is something that might be worth looking into if it is causing problems. It can range in severity and has a whole list of symptoms that might come and go. The symptoms can also overlap with fibro too.

There is a place on healthunlocked called fnd Hope.

Ahhh. That sounds very similar to what I'm experiencing! I'm rather cynical about it all at the mo, so I've been observing my increasing hand tremours, shaky gait, imbalance, leg weakness and jumping muscles with a sort of "that's interesting" emotional disconnect. It seems pointless going to the doctor these days. I have been told previously to see a neurologist by the hospital, which my GP just ignored. How is FND diagnosed? Not sure its worth bothering to get a diagnosis though unless there's specific treatment that helps?

There are some tests to do with movement. Like walking backwards is easier than forwards. Depends on your symptoms. And there is also ruling out things like ms and other possibilities.

It all seems to depend upon the doctor. Some are good and some are awful. Physio helps some people, psychiatric interventions help some people.

Some people are labelled as it all being in there head. If you want to learn more, Google prof John Stone. He is a world leading researcher in Glasgow.

Thank you! Will look him up. I really cannot asked to deal with anymore 'it's allll in your head" crap though, so unless it reaches really bad, im not putting myself through the rigmarole which is going to the GP with questions.

You could be low on magnesium, I use the oil and rub it into my arms and legs, started with 2 sprays on each and built up from there. Be careful not to over do it, as if you are very low, it can cause itching.

Does it actually stop the tremors & twitching?

Helped me with restless legs. And muscle pain Holland and Barrett have just bought out magnesium citrate in powder form. I'm going to give it a try as I don't like taking it in tablet form as they are to big to swallow. X

This can be a symptom of low B12. It could be worth asking your GP for a blood test for B12 , ferritin, folate and VitD.

Hi @Formula1 I was experiencing muscle twitching in my face and arms. I also had restless legs at night. The magnesium has helped significantly. I can't answer for tremors as I don't have them. The thing is you can't over use magnesium rub so as I see it there's no harm in trying. It's not intended as an alternative to seeking medical advice though, tremors should always be investigated by your G.P.
