The Spider

I watched a spider yesterday;

I think it knew,

it scuttled away!

I thought to myself

Why did you do that?

You could have stayed

and had a quick chat,

about the many things

we have in common

- like not giving up;

trying again and again...

Perhaps he’ll come back tomorrow!

Spider in my wing mirror, are you looking for your dinner.

Your there every morning, me yawning, but I notice you.

I shudder and cringe my breath quickens I'm turning blue.

I don't like you. Your web is your shed and your in my wing mirror.

Your a spider on the go, I know , positively Wall Street.

I want to obliterate you with my power washer, but it's your home.

You are distasteful to me but I can't turf you out, you see.

Spider you and your web have withstood, storms,hail and winds.

Your still there in my wing mirror, you are such a small creature but such a big winner, in life's scheme of things.
