I keep getting bladder infection sometimes has blood to had all the test available but can’t find a cause tho I had a full hysterectomy 3 years ago went. On hrt till I developed pigmentation I’ve a lot off white patches on my skin I’ve always had a tan looked skin but not now can’t cope with sex since I had op nurse said I should have some sort off hrt she given me a hormone ring which once in stops for 30 days unsure about that can’t believe I’ve suffered for three years before anybody as in doctors have not told me I need some form off hrt most doctors just put everything down to FM

D-mannose is often used for urinary tract health. Common in the dog world for treating female dogs and those with kidney problems. E-coli is common in bladder infections in bitches due to their anatomy

and when the bacteria tracks back to the kidneys all sorts of problems occur. D-mannose is cranberry based and apparently there is no scientific basis for it working in dogs, but as dogs don't understand the placebo effect, and show improvement I continue to use it. Particularly when I do not wish to use antibiotics which to be honest are pretty useless against e-coli in dogs. All I can say that if you go ahead with it make sure it's from a reputable supplier as there are lots of fake medications/supplements out there.

At the very first sign of a UTI, usually because I’ve not drunk enough, I take D-mannose powder dissolved in water and it halts it immediately, usually in just one or two doses. I’ve always keep some in the cupboard.

Some time ago, I had Interstitial Cystitis and took Probiotics for Women that contained the strains mentioned in the document below. I took it for a few months and it cleared up completely.

Neither are cheap, but to me it’s better than ending up in hospital on an IV drip, as has happened in the past, so I’m more than happy to recommend both.

There is research listed for D-mannose and probiotics listed in the NICE consultation below, but they were looking at preventing UTIs, whereas I’ve used it as a treatment. D-Mannose was more effective than no treatment, but not more effective than antibiotics. With resistance to antibiotics being a hot topic, it will be interesting to see if D-Mannose is approved as a treatment in the future. I know some people have been pushing for it, so fingers crossed.

As always, more high class research is needed, hopefully this will happen soon. It maybe worth Googling GreenMed Info + D-Mannose to see if there is any other research.
