Hi can anyone give some advice please I need to take PIP to a tribunal but don’t know where to start. I am getting myself into such a fuss about it I’m now feeling very ill and my fibromyalgia has really taken hold. I just don’t know who to turn too who can give me advice what I do etc. I have not slept properly at all and my body hurts so much and feel so dizzy and sick. It’s so unfair we are put through this and treated like we are liars when assessed etc I’m in such a mess please help x

Hi ,first you have to ask d.w.p.for a mandatory reconsideration you can phone and request this ,you will get a reconsideration notice with a ref no on then you can write to the tribunal, they will set a date and let you know, don’t be disheartened when d.w.p.send you the notice saying they have looked at your claim again but....no as 95% the time they will not change their mind, the tribunal is better than the assessment and they listen to the way your condition effects you there’s a dr a disability expert and the judge ,get as much evidence together as you can a g.p. Letter saying you’re struggling helps ,you may have to pay ,but worth it best wishes.🍀
Hi hun- I am helping my younger sister to do the same, Sillysausage234 is right with the procedures, M.R first then appeal after, we have an advisor on here called Janet who will help, every claim is different depending on what reasons they give for refusing you PIP, my sister has sent me her paperwork today and I am ploughing thru the negative feedback-- one sentence says 'you held a plastic cup with no trouble"-she had said in her claim she struggles with cups with handles knive & forks, my response to that is "a plastic cup has no handles and can easily slip her hand safely around the cup- a normal cup has a handle which she cannot use because her rheumatoid hands dont allow grip of the handle" If you want to PM me any feedback I will try to help otherwise get intouch with Janet.

Also healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hi there I have posted the 1st link which may be of help to you, i see 2 members already posted helpful replies to you, such a shame when I read people suffer through worrying I hope the link and helpful responses will make you feel alittle less worried wishing you well with your appeal, also posted 2nd link if you would like to lock your posts this will give you and other members more privacy , take care x
The CAB or Janet would be a good start. I also paid for a subscription which is less than £20 to the Benefits and Works site and used their excellent guide when we had to go to a tribunal about my husband's ESA. We won and I am sure I couldn't have done it without the guide. Good luck x
Hi, the citizen's advice bureau can be very helpful, they will help you prepare you for the tribunal and give you advice on how to state your case.
It's so stressful when your money gets stopped. I really hope it goes well for you.
I endorse rosewine's reply. The Benefits and Works guides to PIP are excellent. They take you through how to challenge an assessor's report step by step and the MR/appeals process. See benefitsandwork.co.uk/
