Got a phone call from the hospital today too say they'd got a referral from the consultant for me to goto the hospital for 8.30pm on the 5th Oct for my sleep over to try and get to the bottom off my night time antics when I'm asleep. I'm just hoping I don't resemble Frankenstein. But if we get to the bottom off it I don't care. Fingers crossed. 🀞🀞.

Hiya Lottie d .I thought I'd let u know what happened when I had my sleep study dove at the hospital. I've replied to nursegladys123 if you can see my reply to her if not let me know and I'll fill you in on what happened. XxπŸ™‚

Did you go? what was the outcome? I was wondering if restless legs syndrome was mentioned? I did have that when I was working but it has subsided since retireing. RLS does keep you awake and disturb your sleep balance.

Hiya. The amount of wires they put on me was mad. I had 2 on each leg near my shin, 2 on my chest, 1 behind each ear, 2 on my forehead, 1 in the middle of my head at the back and 1 on nape of my neck. I had blood pressure checked before all wires were put on and also had that heart rate monitor they put on ya finger. They were also recorded my activity during the night. I asked him how the heck am I going to goto the loo( had my own in my room), he said it's ok wire goes all the way into the bathroom. I said I'd end up breaking my neck by tripping over the wire in middle of night, well at least I was in the right place if I did. I managed to get myself comfy and just nodding off when the nurse came in as he'd left my notes in my room. Next thing I know they're waking me up at 6am, blinking 6am I ask you. Poor nurse looked at all my wires and said in all the 8yrs he'd done this job he'd never seen the wires in such a mess and all tangled up. Would be me that that happened too. I asked him what had recorded, he said I'm sorry I can't tell u anything. Which I suppose makes sense. He said my consultant will look at it and get bk to me this week or next. This may Sound weird but I hope I had a bad night so they can see what I'm like during sleep. The blinking glue they used in my hair was awful I washed it 2 times last night and just found some more in my hair. So much for it just washing out. Lol. Sorry for the long winded reply but u did ask my friend. Lol. XxπŸ˜ƒ

Lol πŸ˜† I think you gave them their monies worth. You kept the tech or doctor entertained watching you on the little camera and all the monitors all the wires lead all the information to. I can tell you one thing that they found in the brain waves is the alpha waves interrupting the nice slow beep theta and deeper delta waves of sleep. I think you have more than restless leg syndrome by your description of how all the wires got tangled up. When I sleep I barely move. Boring to watch me sleep except for when I’m dreaming of turning nubs and pushing buttons then I reach up to do that with my hands. Oh and snore but I think πŸ€” we all do that. I have had many of sleep studies done in the twin study on fibromyalgia and CFS back in the late 90’s and 2003. That why I knew about the alpha wave thing. Then several years back I had some done which eventually showed that my oxygen dropped in my REM sleep which years later I heard a news story on how REM sleep makes your oxygen level drop some but not normal for it to drop into the 70’s. Lower 90’s or upper 80’s is aloud to be normal.

Any who readying your message caught my attention will be interesting to know what they find.
