Hi does anyone know how long after winning a pip appeal I get back dated money?

It has been three weeks and I am so far behind with bills I'm so stressed .

Well done on winning your appeal. I have been through it as well. They make you feel as if you are telling lies about your illness.

Thank you for repling yes it makes you feel like a liar and I was happy that was proved not to be true

It wasn't easy

Because I wasn't lying at my assessment but wasn't asked the right questions about my health but thank goodness they believed me at the tribunal.

I so hope you are right as I'm borrowing on the strength as no money

Thank god for family.

Yes first time they never asked about fibro but asked me to describe dercums disease lumps but second time asked about some fibro issues but none about symptoms with dercums disease so can't wait to see how third time lucky goes.

Back pay ought to be paid with Wonga style interest to offset the borrowing mess folks are likely to get into waiting. But off course, it doesn't. Thank goodness for family indeed!!! Wonder what those that don't have relatives with generous pockets do? It is a bad business. Hope you get your money soon. 6-8 weeks I'd guess.

That is what I thought too

It takes about 6 weeks. Quite often the money is in your bank account before you receive the letter confirming the amount that is being paid.

Hi it normally takes about 6 weeks for it to be paid into your bank. Plus with the backpay sometimes you don’t always get it. When I rang up about mine they told me that the backpay was upto the adjudicators descretion. Hope you don’t have to wait too much longer xx

Thank you

I had a phone call yesterday asking for confirmation and was asked security questions so I am praying it's now days not weeks before I get something

If it wasn't for my sister helping I would be starving.

Yay that’s good. Fingers crossed the next couple of days. Bless it’s boody horrible having handouts off friends and family isn’t it. I’ve been there many a times. And at times you won’t ask because of too much pride. A big thank you to your sister for making sure that you have got food in for you to have. Sending gentle hugs your way xx
