Hi Everyone, I'm here again sorry. Just going to my G.P. Thursday to get a letter to take to my appeal when I get the date. Does anybody know what I am suppose to expect in the letter. I'm thinking of drawing a body map and marking all the areas where I have pain . I haven't been out for ages as bus journeys are a living nightmare.

PIP APPEAL
Have you got someone to go with you , please don't go alone and make sure your dropped outside the door don't walk across car park .
Please also lock your pin or if you go to my name and you will be able to read mine if you choose as I wrote about my appeal in last July 😊
Hopefully your dr letter should just collaborate what you have told them .
Good luck
Shadow X
Hi Dianne
I would imagine that the letter your GP will write will be a summary of your meds and conditon in general. Is your GP good? If so, it may contain further information about how your disability affects you.
GP's are often requested to write letters for patients so they will know what they need to say.
Does that help? If not let me know and I will try to explain further.
The more information you have to back up your Appeal the better. Have you put all your hospital and referral letters with your form? You can add written statements from anyone who helps you on a regular basis too. In fact add anything you think may help. For instance a Pain Diary. They may not look at them but it's worth taking.
Hugs Lu xx
I think that your other two respondents have given you some excellent advice, so I will simply wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you

The letter needs to show how your illnesses affect what they call your activities of daily living. If possible the Dr should go through the form with you there. Make sure you have at least a double appointment.
If possible have a copy of the original questionnaire from the DWP that would have been sent out and a copy of your answers. It's too easy to forget when you are actually there.
You are looking at him /her confirming with whatever the specialist have said. And remember it is you on your worst day, not trying to minimise anything, though still being honest.
Wishing it all goes well
Hi would take any other letter you used in your first letter and as everyone else says take someone with you x
My GP wrote a simple letter to say that she strongly recommended I be placed in the Support Group.

I provided a letter from my Dr but it cost me £80 to have it written and basically it stated all of my illnesses and problems and a list of what medication I was taking at the time of writing.
Instead of drawing the pain areas, Google, "what fibromyalgia looks like" the best one is a "person" who has bruises all over the body and the PAIN AREAS mostly felt by us! If you can get that printed off, the impact when you show people is pretty good. I wish you well!...don't be a martre... Worse day scenario!......and if you have ever thought about suicide, tell them!!!! but don't tell them you wouldn't act on it!!!
Remember, they are watching you from the time you arrive, until the time you leave!.... Don't do it alone my friend.... Please take someone with you! ....much love.... Ninja......♥♥♥♥♥
