Hi there , I think we all suit different meds and for most it’s trial and error till you get something that suits you so good luck with the gappapentin, I did try this for awhile but did upset my stomach , so now on duloxetene one tab 60mg to help Fibro/anxiety and seem to be much better. Hi. I have been on Gabapentin for about 3 months. It did take some getting used to as initially, and also when I upped the dose, I felt sleepy and slightly disorientated. I have now built up to 3x100mg taken 3 times a day. For me it has been well worth it as I have been able to cut down, and sometimes stop taking the other meds that I was on. Good luck, I hope it works as well for you as it has done for me but stick with it and give it a fair trial x
Hi there! I tried gabapentine and found them to be a great help, but sadly after a few days I encountered side affects, my eyeballs started to shake believe it or not. I contacted my gp who stopped prescribing them. I was gutted as I finally thought I'd found the right pill to suit me. Good luck x
I've just started them too. I was on 100mg x 3 a day, but am increasing to 300mg x3 a day over the next couple of days as they aren't touching the excruciating pain I have in my left shin. Dr said the pain is nerve related - no injury or knocks to my leg, just a random pain. I hoping a higher dose will help. My partner also takes Gabapentin and it can make him feel a bit dizzy. Hope you get on OK with it. 😊
Hi I've been on gabaoentin for years once you get used to it it's really good
When I started on Gabapentin it relieved my pain very well. I have had to titrate the dose to achieve a pain free state. I could do with increasing the dose again but a big side effect of the drug is weight gain. I have put on a stone since starting the drug. It works well but you will have to monitor your weight. I'm having to decide wether I want to be completely pain free or keep putting on weight.
hi it can also be used for epilepsy
