I'm new here so I hope this is ok. My fibro has caused severe tendonitis in my hips, knees and left Achilles, the pain in my hips is now so bad I can barely walk or even move without wanting to cry. My GP won't give me any more than tramadol and I'm being passed from one consultant to another. I'm meant to be back at work next week so I asked her for a certificate to cover me, she gave me two weeks! Two weeks! My anxiety is through the roof and my pain is with it. Why won't they take me seriously? I'm about at the end of my tether.

Hello everyone
Hi and a warm welcome to our community. Sorry to hear that you are struggling so mush at present and feel that you are getting nowhere.
It can be trial and error finding a treatment which helps control pain and what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another.
You can find more info on fibro at our main site fmauk.org where you can also request an information booklet for yourself at fmauk.org/resources and a health professionals booklet at fmauk.org/gprequest

I had horrid Trochanter Bursitis in both hips for over three years. I found Osmo Patches very helpful - website by the same name. Inflammation can be the cause of conditions ending with 'itis '.
Have you had your thyroid correctly tested ? Thyroid hormones - if low can behind joint issues - especially T3 which is very rarely tested in the NHS.
B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD levels also need to be optimal for good health. Too often patients are told results are normal when they are only just in range. You are legally entitled to copies of all results with ranges so you can monitor your health and see what has been missed ! Surgeries should now have on-line access to records - so worth asking ...
Hope you soon find some answers and feel stronger 😊
Only just read your post. How did you get on?
